So VERY happy to discover that my FAVORITE schnitzel restaurant now has a location along Pleasanton’s Main Street. Reservations were easily made on Open Table. While we were set for an indoor seat, it was such a mild evening, we asked to sit outdoors in a two-person table, which staff graciously accomodated. The wait staff was attentive and professional. The meal was just as good as I remember eating in their Campbell location. The menu was just right with appetizers, entrees and salads, wine/beers, and more. Appetizer: 1) Seared Scallops served with a beautiful presentation 2 ) Sweet corn soup: this very nice and unexpected sweet soup was prepared with a traditional corn soup and a dollop of sour cream with, surprisingly, kettle corn popcorn to add a wonderful sweetness and salty mix perfect on the tongue. The wait staff generously split our soup into two concoctions, as we ordered a bit of everything for our first tasting and it was perfect! 3) grilled bratwurst with homemade sauerkraut and dipping mustard 4) salted pretzel with cheese sauce topped with bacon and chives Main: jager schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce—a generous helping of pork schnitzel with enough for a second meal and traditional spatzle.

Everyone loved their food - had scallops, chicken marsala, sole and halibut. Great service and atmosphere too :)
