Merenda Wine is such an exciting new addition to our vibrant Oceanside community! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt cheerful and welcoming, like gathering with friends in a stylish yet cozy space. We started our meal with the pasta cappellacci filled with ricotta, artichokes, and spinach, all drizzled in a rich beurre sauce. This dish was pure bliss; I could easily eat it every day. Honestly, it’s some of the best pasta I’ve ever tasted! Next up was the koji-cured pork chop topped in a savory romesco sauce, accompanied by a mustard leaf salad. Every bite was juicy and tender, practically melting in my mouth. And let’s not forget the salad! Who knew mustard greens could be so flavorful? They added a delightful zing that paired perfectly with the pork. For dessert, we indulged in the tres leches cake topped with creamy frosting and guava rose jam. Our server shared a touching story about how this recipe was passed down from the chefs mother, who made it for him on tough days. I can totally see why because each bite was so heavenly that it made the night even better! The wine selection was exceptional, perfectly complementing our meal. The service was top-notch, and the ambiance struck a wonderful balance between hip and homey, making us feel right at ease. Every detail contributed to a memorable experience, and I left feeling excited to return. Overall, Merenda Wine is a true gem in Oceanside, and I can't wait to go back for another incredible meal!

What a gem in South O! Rose Cafe strikes the perfect balance of casual atmosphere, darling decor, and outstanding culinary excellence. Beautiful selection of appetizers and entrées, perfect service, and the wine offerings were delightful. It’s now on my Highly Recommend dinner list for friends and visitors. Rose Cafe, you are a beauty!
