    We have been holidaying in vail since 1997. I have witnessed many changes. The evolution of a ski mountain to MTN. Restaurants have come and gone. Some are stayers and do not evolve. Sweet basil has evolved. Our family night was wonderful from the courteous front staff, to the knowledgeable service staff that were quietly efficient. The wine list was comprehensive. The food was the highlight. Appetizers such as Spanish octopus to tartare and bone marrow were a superb start. The entrées were a comprehensive menu ranging from pork duck fresh cod. The flavors were eclectic and memorable. I can highly recommend sweet basil as a must dine restaurant in Vale..

    I loved the food and the ambiance. I didn’t give the service 5 stars because they were super busy and flustered by it. Other than that, the waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. The poke bowl is not to be missed.
