    Everything was good. My only disappointment was when I made the reservation, I said it was our anniversary but they made no mention of it while we were there. Even just a scoop of ice cream with a candle would have been nice.

    We had a lovely experience at Bouchon celebrating a birthday. They put rose petals on the table to signify a celebration, which is a nice touch, and the owners personally come by and say hello. We had the French onion soup and crab cakes to start. The soup is not to be missed. It was perfect. Then we had the duck, which is as good as advertised, and the rack of lamb, which was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée and also was perfectly prepared. Along with the wines and the excellent service from all the staff, but especially our waiter David, it was an excellent evening. Oh, and we sat on the patio, and even on this chilly evening, it was perfect with plenty of heaters.
