Celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here and the ambience was perfect. My friends kept telling me the service was amazing! Everyone was so nice and friendly and was on top of our orders. Jasmine was our sever and she was great! Highly recommend:)

We love this place we go all the time. We love the food and drinks and the service. We are basically regulars there a couple of the servers and runners remember us and take care of us every time we go.

We have lived in Burbank for nearly 30 years so we visited the old version of this restaurant many times. By the time it closed for renovation, the food and service had become rather forgettable. With the re-opening a few years ago, everything changed, and for the better! I can say now with complete confidence that Castaway Burbank is one of the very best restaurants in Los Angeles, with equally high scores for food, service and ambience. The cost is certainly on par with any other first class restaurant in this area, your staff are all well trained and well chosen, and the food preparation is off the charts fantastic! My wife and I just celebrated my birthday there on September 5th, 2024 and we both agree that it was one of the very best restaurant experiences we have had... ever! It's a nice outdoor setting with views of the hills but also unfortunately the freeway down below. Food is solid but unspectacular, and it's a bit on the pricey side for what it is. The baklava brie appetizer is outstanding, and my wife very much enjoyed her rib-eye steak. The short rib pasta was just ok. Desserts very good. If you're looking for an outdoor evening with a decent view, you could do worse.
