We are delighted to have added additional outdoor seating but Santa Barbara nights are chilly so bring a sweater or light jacket!Fresh, local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambiance, service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara ‘Wine Country Cuisine’ means we source our ingredients using an ‘as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible’ approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. We believe you’ll taste the difference. Bon Appètit!

Modern Asian American Restaurant from Chefs Peter Lee & Felicia Medina. "Consider the bao. Chinese in origin, it’s most easily described as a steamed bun filled with something savory. Yet, like the American concept of a sandwich, the bao exploded into a flexible format of untold bounds — served at any meal, filled with you-name-it, completely closed or wide open, with endless regional variants from across Asia and far beyond." - Matt Kettmann (SB Independent)1 Block From State Street, Easy Parking, Public Lot Nearby, Free 75 Minute Parking, Walking Distance, El Pueblo Viejo Landmark District, Superior Court, Spanish Colonial Revival Courthouse, Santa Barbara Museum Of Art, Courthouse Gardens, Bell Tower, Bao, Food, Restaurant, Asian, American, New, Modern, Fried, Chicken, Octopus, Vegan, Vegetarian, Paelo, Friendly, Dog Friendly, Outdoor Patio, Heaters, Warm, Inviting, Hospitable, Modern Design

We had starters and mains and every dish was superb, great quality food, well cooked. Service was excellent with good advice on our wine choices. The restaurant manager was present to ensure everything was going as we would have wanted. The absolute opposite of what you would have expected eating in a hotel restaurant. Definitely recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining in Santa Barbara and I cannot praise it highly enough. The scallops were a standout - perfectly seared and tender, with a delicate balance of flavors that left me craving more. They were paired with a vibrant, well-seasoned accompaniments that enhanced their natural sweetness beautifully. The duck confit was equally impressive. It was cooked to perfection, with crispy, golden skin and succulent meat that fell off the bone. The richness of the duck was wonderfully complemented by the thoughtful arrangement of sides, making each bite a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. Adding to this remarkable meal was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel truly special and well taken care of throughout the evening.

From the moment we were greeted by the host to the very last goodbye, everybody on this staff was nice, welcoming, hard-working. The food is great, but the service is perfect and as far as I’m concerned, the reason I would come back many many more times. I was on a date, they gave us time to enjoy each other’s company but at the same time we’re extremely insightful with the menu suggestions and wine selections. They made our night extra special. Thank you. We will be back!

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara. Love the atmosphere, the service is amazing, and the food is outstanding! Had to come here twice in the same week because it's THAT good. Highly recommend the shrimp, tempura bao and the avocado and Korean pear salad for small bites and the chili noodles for main. The desserts are also very good, not too sweet which is a compliment for asian desserts if ykyk :)
