"My boyfriend and I had a very nice time at Julia's. We were staying at La Posada and wanted to have dinner near the hotel. We didn't really eat very much--paté, queso, and tacos--so I can't really speak to how good the entrées are. The queso was quite thick but flavorful. The bread for the paté was too tough, the shrimp tacos were good. The margaritas were very good, and enormous. I think in a town known for excellent margaritas, I'd give them an 8 out of 10. What was really exceptional was our server. (I can't remember her name! --but she looked like Allison Janney.) She was considerate and on-point throughout our meal, offered to take a picture of us, and then took us on a tour of the historic house at the center of the hotel. I really appreciated how warm she was while remaining professional."See more

"As first time guests, we were treated to an excellent dinner experience at Sazon. From the chef to the hostess to the server, we were treated with hospitality and warmth. The food was delicious. We both had the sopa de amor — chef's signature soup — followed by hearty entrees of meat paired with one of six hand-crafted signature moles. They surprised me after entrees with a birthday dessert: a "chocolate lava cake" that was a fitting end to an exceptional culinary experience. Highly recommend."See more

"In a town of chile this and chile that, there are occasions that call for something entirely different and absolutely delicious. El Meson is a quaint and dark space that does temporarily transport you to Spain. Quite flamenco music fades in the background as you sip your vino tinto and ponder what part and what flavors of Espana you want to sample. We went for the seafood paella and the seafood broth is what ranks this paella better than most. We make it at home, and over the grill which gives it a supreme and smoky flavor, but this was a true luxury to bask in the glory of a seafood paella for my birthday. We wrapped the celebration by ordering the orange flan. It was dainty enough to give us just the sweetness we needed to close the night on the right note."See more

"This was our second time at Il Piato while visiting Santa Fe. Both times we were pleased. The food is excellent, service was fine. You can order appetizer size pasta dishes which make it easy to try other items without over eating. Only thing that surprised me is that I asked whether they had Amaros for after dinner drinks. Our server didn't know what an Amarao is. For and Italian restaurant, you'd think they would know better. The owner-chef is not Italian but that shouldn't matter."See more
