- AAnneVIPPittsburgh / Western PA •47 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWell, we started with the calamari which we have been testing out everywhere we can find it. The Capital Grille wins the prize by a fair amount as if this eating. Oh my goodness. Such succulent delightful morsels of tender squid, mixed with fairly hot peppers from my perspective but my husband says the descriptor should be wonderful peppers. He likes ‘em HOT and FLAVORFUL!! Then on to our entrees. I had the filet and he had the sliced filet with fig essence, (lah dee dah). Both of us were thoroughly delighted with our selections, smiles upon our faces as we “mmmmmm”ed….. our choices for quite some time and spoke very little, only to say how good our meals were. And then dessert. I didn’t even finish my entree I was so full (too much calamari and delicious bread!) so I was going through pass, but they brought us a a little selection from the kitchen of cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake with a huge amount of whipped cream and a ton of fresh berries. Well I got one, can not pass on whipped cream, and what is whipped cream without some berries, eh?? Both perfect. Hubby had the cakes, and said the cheesecake was to die for and the chocolate cake was only excellent! LOL!! Oh, and kudos go to our waiter Michael who was always there when we needed him, always not there when we didn’t want him to be, always offering the right things at the right time, and always asking the right questions. Can’t get much more perfect than that!! Capital Grille, you have outdone yourself this time. Happy Anniversary to us, made very special because of you!!! ❤️More infoThe Capital Grille - PittsburghPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.8
