Restaurants near Cardinal Stadium

The chef made us a FABULOUS scallop appetizer by special request for my mom’s birthday and it was absolutely Amazing!! The salmon pasta special, both my sister and I ordered, was exquisitely delicious and everyone at the table LOVED their entrees! The bread and roasted garlic in olive oil is always divine! And the waitress brought out not just one birthday dessert but TWO for my mom’s birthday, Both Wonderful!! It was a perfect evening start to finish with fabulous service as always! Thank you for making my mom’s birthday so very special, she absolutely loved it!

Since we were staying at Hotel Distil for a weekend getaway, we had brunch twice at Repeal and also dinner seated in the bar area. All meals were excellent. For brunch, we did more of the traditional breakfast items (there are some more lunch-like options available as well). The blue crab omelette was AMAZING. Servers were all very friendly and personable. It did seem to be a good idea to get a reservation even for brunch on the early side (9-10am). For dinner, we hadn't gotten a reservation, but if you get there around 5pm, it's likely you can get a two-top table in the bar area which serves the same menu as the main dining room. One of the best steaks I've ever had, salads were delicious, sides were great, and three cheers for a truly sharp steak knife! We'd happily go back to Repeal next time that we're in Louisville.

Our server, Blas was wonderful!!! She guided our table selections with special attention to a member of our party who wanted selections with less spice. She was knowledgeable and professional as well as warm and pleasant. She made our dinner delightful! The food was delicious and plentiful! We will return again and again. Sharon Barreras

I had heard a lot of good things about this place and turns out they were all true. The decor immediately made me feel like I was in Cuba, not Louisville. Our waiter was so adorable and helpful with suggestions for appetizers and drinks, we had the Testones and Cuban Nachos with the Sangria. The appetizer portions were huge and delicious, so we didn’t order entrees. I had mentioned it was my friend’s Birthday, and at the end of the meal, our waiter brought her a piece of dark chocolate cake along with a Happy Birthday serenade by a very talented saxophone player. All in all, it was a delightful experience and I will be back!!

We chose Jeff Ruby's to celebrate our 15th anniversary and we couldn't be happier. Matt started us off with glasses of champagne and helped us make our selections. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and the differences between the meats. Him and his team brought out the courses giving us ample time to finish each. The food was incredible, the steak was cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. Thank you to Matt and the entire Jeff Ruby's team for making it a wonderful experience.
