Wanted to say big thanks. I have been wanting to visit your restaurant for a very long time - it’s been on the list! Thrilled that we got to dine and share lunch with our friend who are from the area and are frequent diners. Service was great and the food was excellent.

Outstanding food, professional and attentive service, and historic atmosphere. Crab cakes were meaty! No filler. The Bloody Maryland was savory, spicy, yet refreshing. Steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce was divine! Kids mac and cheese was impressive too ... fresh, not box recipe. Our server Jenny was very kind and knowledgeable about everything! Do be prepared for the bustling atmosphere which made conversation a tad strained and navigating to the restroom a test of agility, but also made it a fun experience. Would highly recommend Old Ebbit Grill for their food, service, and historic ambience.

Absolutely fantastic. I was looking for a place with a farm-to-table approach and Founding Fathers did not disappoint. The beignets were light and fluffy and are almost Cafe du Monde level. Their grits…oh.my. Stellar. Eggs were perfect. Without trying I created the perfect southern breakfast. Thank you so much for this wonderful start to my day!

The service was excellent and our party of 8 had a beautiful private room. The menu had something for everyone in our group which included a picky child and an adult with a lot of restrictions. The restaurant is beautifully and interestingly decorated and the setting on the waterfront is lovely, especially if you are hosting out of towners.

We ate here twice in our brief DC visit - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the food was terrific. Complex compositions, tasty and well presented. I eat Caesar salads quite often and theirs was one of the best I’ve had. Both times we commented that the background music was enjoyable and not too loud for the room. Our waiter was familiar with the wine we wanted to try and it was delightful.
