The food was great and the table service was excellent. However the front of house staff needs to be retrained. I clearly stated that I had a reservation upon arrival. I was 5 minutes early and the person asked if my companion had arrived. Upon finding she hadn’t I was rudely dismissed while they seated people off the street! When I asked to be seated I was treated like I asked for free lunch. The young woman at the door was stressed out but that isn’t my problem.

Food is wonderful. Waiter and servers were excellent. The lack of a fifth star on service has to do with, possibly the website, possibly the front desk. Although there was no distinction when I initially made the reservation, I wrote in the comments that we wanted an outdoor table. They told me I had requested an indoor table and the only area that was open then was for "parties." I have reserved previously and there was a place to indicate where you wanted to sit. This time there was no opportunity to do that, but I do expect them to read the notes.

My recent dining experience at Joe’s Seafood in DC left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for a delightful evening. The attentive staff guided us through the menu, offering knowledgeable recommendations. Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the freshest seafood expertly prepared. From succulent crab cakes to perfectly seared scallops, every bite was a revelation. The flavors danced on my palate, leaving me craving more with each course. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the meal, from the presentation to the impeccable timing of each dish. Pairing the seafood with a selection from their extensive wine list elevated the experience to new heights. Overall, Joe’s Seafood is a gem in the heart of DC, offering an unforgettable culinary journey. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or simply looking for an exceptional dining experience, Joe’s Seafood exceeds expectations in every way. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their tantalizing menu.
