I love this restaurant as well as the hotel. I have to visit Santa Fe at least once a year to stay and eat here. The food is delicious, though I can never get beyond ordering the chile rellenos but my dining companions seem to always enjoy their dinners. Service is lovely, attentive and professional. The dining room is charming. Don’t miss this one if you’re in Santa Fe.

Menu choices for northern New Mexico cuisine were poor. Pinto beans were dry, pozole was old and lacked hominy. Guacamole was entertaining but overpriced.

The grape burratta was very good, and the filet y enchiladas was phenomenal. My file had the chiles rellenaos, which she really enjoyed. One of the top 5 meals I have had in Santa Fe!

Our meal and server were outstanding. Efrain went above and beyond to help us make a 3 course meal to save money and get the best value. The Pork Shank melted in our mouths and was so good. The dining room was lively and colorful with the old history of Santa Fe. A must place to dine when you visit Santa Fe.

Our waiter, Angel, was very good, very attentive, very friendly. This was our second time to have him, and he is the BEST! Great food, great service, great ambience. Get the table side guacamole, it is delicious! You can’t go wrong here!

As Santa Feans, we are familiar with the incredible history of La Fonda. However, we had rarely enjoyed a meal there. This year we decided to celebrate the holidays with dinner there. All the staff was attentive and so knowledgeable. Brenda, our server, was incredible! She even graciously took our photos. Thank you for a very special evening on the Plaza.

The dishes were excellent except for the lobster mac and cheese. The lobster was tasteless. Service and ambiance are always great here. A great place to eat during the holidays.

I had the prime rib, medium. It was great! The asparagus and mashed potatoes were tasty as well. The only downside was not getting the bread basket. Our server didn’t ask and I didn’t ask but I was a little hungry. Overall it was a great meal!

Prawn dish one of best entrees I’ve had in my life! At $52 a bit steep (maybe 10% lower appropriate) but for the location understand. Prawns were gigantic and meaty and fresh but the sauce was drinkable. Other dishes were solid but not 10* like prawns. Service a bit slow but we were happy to take our time. The manager (?) came by to see how things were and we ordered a drink from her to which she seemed to ignore and yet saw her take a water glass of wine to the back, I guess different priorities! Would come back but maybe share two apps and two entrees for 4 people.

I ordered the most expensive “double” margarita as I anticipated it would be large. It wasn’t large and it really wasn’t strong at all but it cost $21. Our table was on the walking path for the servers and everyone coming and going, ugh! The food is slightly above average but way overpriced, honestly.

We rely on guest feedback, so thank you for sharing your experience. A "double" margarita has two measured pours of Tequila in it. The glass is not larger, but has a bit less ice to make room for the additional Tequila. We apologize if we disappointed you. Our cafe tables are in the midst of "guests on the move", and again, we are sorry you did not enjoy the energy of the night. You dined with us on one of the busiest night of the year. It was the annual Tree Lighting Event! Please give us a call at 505-412-9921 and lets try to arrange for you to come back for a few margaritas and some of our favorite dishes from our menu.

No table side guacamole offered night we weee there. The prime rib was bland lots of fat. Not good value for price 55$ Recommend the Mexican entrees of enchiladas and or Chile rellenos. Service was good as always and food came out fairly quickly.

Thanks to Angel our server and the whole staff at La Plazuela on a very hectic night of the annual tree lighting. We asked to be seated early and were accommodated. We understood that it was incredibly busy because of holiday festivities, but all went well with service and the very delicious steak frites. La Fonda does it again as the iconic "living room of Santa Fe" -warm and welcoming and a special favorite of ours for 30 years!

Our waiter was outstanding! My friend is extremely sensitive to spicey foods. Our waiter brought out different sauces in small bowls for her to sample and try. The food was so delicious with nice presentation. Wonderful dining experience! We sat in the bar and had cocktails while waiting for our table and the bartender was fantastic!

Love everything about this place. The mango coin margarita was delicious. I got the shredded beef enchiladas and they were cold and needed more sauce. But I still love this place.

The food was and is always amazing. The coconut lime soup was to die for. We loved the steak frits and had the piña colada cake, so good. Angel took great care of us. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Food was superb, just expensive. Had the blue plate special (a slow-roasted beef dish on mashed potatoes) and chicken enchiladas; Mexican chocolate truffle streusel with roasted banana ice cream. Service was excellent - thanks Armando! Menu had many other appealing options and it's worth more visits to try it all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they treated us to a glass of prosecco and a dessert. We ate way too much but everything was delicious! From the tableside made guacamole to entrees and the french fries we ordered to honor my mom. It was all great. It is such a wonderful space!

Excellent dinner; staff honored our request for a nice table for two, away from traffic areas. Our server, Caroline was outstanding. Nicely paced meal, food was delicous. We will be back the next time we visit Santa Fe.
