A disappointing experience. The La Fonda hotel is an icon in Santa Fe and we thought their restaurant would be something special- it is not. We were expecting something a bit more uoscale, but it is more along the lines of a somewhat casual place, not a fine dining experience. The food was good, but there are other places in Santa Fe of similar casual ambiance that are better at less cost. Service however was great; waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable. We won’t be back as it was not what we expected. If you go La Fonda, do go up to the Bell Tower for a drink; there is food available there too which is casual too.

We have eaten at Plazuela on every trip to Santa Fe. The setting is beautiful, and the service was excellent. Our food was good but not AS good as on other trips. My husband had to send his steak back because it was cooked well done when he ordered it medium rare. By the time he got another plate, all of us (9) were finished with our meals, which the rest of us rated as "good". Also, the tab was extremely high for the number of people in our group. We split the tab three ways and each of the three tabs was about $300. We will go again perhaps, but were definitely disappointed.

A wonderful evening celebrating my mother's birthday. The team was amazing and very thoughtful in providing a birthday brownie at the end of our meal. First time to visit the restaurant while visiting Santa Fe, but I highly, highly recommend.

I have been enjoying La Fonda 30 years- we enjoyed a variety of dishes and desserts and was not disappointed!! Great new memories and wonderful evening!!!

Wonderful experience. Historic ambiance with with traditional N.M cuisine. Our server Yazz was very professional and friendly Wouldn't hesitate dinning at La fonda in the future.

Our extended family of ten adults were celebrating a 62nd wedding anniversary and we could not have had a better experience. All staff members were eager to please and help with the celebration. The food was delicious and at the end of the meal we were surprised with glasses of champagne. The historical setting and the ambience contribute to the overall enjoyment. I would recommend that anyone spending time in Santa Fe should try to dine at this lovely restaurant.
