Found this restaurant on TopTable and booked for three of us. All I can say is that if you want real Japanese food, then this is the place to go. Having been to Japan a number of times and eaten the real thing, as opposed to some of the restaurant chains here in London, I can really recommend Kura. Traditionally furnished and good value for money, the most important thing is the quality of the food. Well cooked, well presented and absolutely scrumptious. We'll definitely be back to this hidden gem!

Old fashioned, traditional (and according to our Japanese friends, very authentic and run by the Japanese) restaurant with only a few tables, tucked away in an alley at Knightsbridge. The food was tasty but the atmosphere was a bit spoiled by a group of very loud Russians at one of the tables. It was very difficult to have a conversation in such an environment. The service although slow was pleasant. The decor was a very weak point; it could really do with a bit more modern one!

Feels like you are in Japan. Real Japanese food...not tricked out fusion. Every dish was excellent.

A small restaurant which I visited just as they were opening for dinner (they close between lunch and dinner), so my two fellow diners and I were alone. The place is small but friendly, comfy enough seating. I know they had just re-opened for dinner, but a bit of music or something wouldn't've gone amiss - it was a little bit ambience-free without this. The food came in a reasonable time and was very tasty. The prices are reasonable (although I got the 25% off deal, which made it especially reasonable). Would recommend for a pre-theatre meal or lunch, but I wouldn't bring a big gang of people here.

The suahi platters here were excellent and, with the 50% off from toptable, it was good value too. The meat tasted really fresh and was delicious.

We went to this restaurant for its half price offer.The decor is very traditional but the food is very nice.It will be great if they can refurbish it a bit and it will attract more customers. The staff and owner were very friendly and the restaurant was quite full after a while. We will definetely go again for its special offer.

Very old school izakaya type place. Loved it. Proper traditional japanese food. We had the 50% toptable offer and hence great value but would be expensive otherwise.

Kura is now our all time favourite sushi restaurant offering great quality sushi (fresh fish) for a reasonably cheap price. The only downfall of this tucked away restaurant is its decor, but seriously, that's it. The Sake is also very good.
