Most everything was great, My wifes chicken dish was extremely lacking. basically a couple veggies and a split chicken breast. We were happy with everything else. The bread is delicious, The Calamari was crisp but tender, the Spaghetti con langostin was delicious, as was the Risotto Nero and Ossobuco

Bad service…. Not worth the price at all. Try to get a refill and want able to get it at the third time we asked. Ordered something at a appetizer and the waiter totally forgot about it until we ask it at the end. And we ask for the desert menu for 4 times and no one bring it to us…. Food was okay but nothing special. Not recommended at all.

The food was nice but unfortunately had a rushed and not particularly friendly experience. We had a reservation for 9:30pm without realising they close at 10pm. As a result, from the moment we got there service was rushed and tables were being put away around us. To maintain a standard they should just not take bookings after 9pm.

Il Pastio is now our favorite Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills, outside of Bella Italia. All the courses were authentically prepared by truly professional chefs and presented with perfection. The service was second to none with friendly and highly attentive servers looking after one with pleasure. We went for a late afternoon Saturday lunch yesterday. My daughter was driving over to join us from SoCak and was caught in traffic but the restaurant was kind enough to be seated even without the full party present. My daughter arrived almost 45 min late but we felt we were not pressured to order main course at all. They bought us our drinks, bread and appetizer while we waited. They do have a paltry bread and oil charge but the bread came out piping hot, crunchy and delicious. We had crispy and crunch Calamari to start off with. It was o just right and without it being too oily, and was served with delicious home made marina sauce. My wife tried their fresh home made mezzaluna (half moons) with crab and seafood served in a delicious tomato sauce. The ravioli was delicious and they added a zing of chills peppers to kick it up a notch. I had ordered their Risotto Nero with Arborio rice cooked with calamari, prawns in a black squid ink sauce which is a rare Italian delicacy in US. It was perfection and divine. The dish is completely black and while it may look a tad unappetizing the taste transporters is to Milan where I first tried it. My son played it safe and had the spaghetti con pomodoro e basil. He loved it too. My daughter had the rigatoni pasta with melanzane and tomato sauce that she liked too. They boast an extensive menu of genuine Italian dessert specialities. We went with their Tiramisu (pick me up!) and Pudino di pane (bread pudding). Tiramisu was moist, airy, and delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness just like it should be. It’s instantly transported me to Ravenna, Italy. The pudding was rich, and filled with raisins, fruits etc. Best Italian

I’ve had way better pasta in LA for a much lower price tag. The service was not good, (coming from a former server) I think we were checked on once the entire meal. We came for my sisters birthday dinner which I put on the reservation and mentioned to the hostess again once there and they did nothing at all for our special occasion. Would never pay that much money for such a mediocre time again. Don’t waste your time or money!

The food was good and came out on time, and the host that greeted me was very nice! My waiter and some of the other staff around were not as friendly. I didn’t feel that welcomed as a woman having lunch alone, and did feel a little rush. I probably wouldn’t go back to dine alone. My experience was not too bad but not as great as I had experienced at some of the other restaurants while in town.
