This was our last dinner out before COVID-19 restrictions. Of all the restaurants in Albuquerque, we miss High Noon the most. We started with Brie Empanadas. They are a very nice and flavorful start to dinner. We all ordered salad. My daughter enjoyed the house salad, but my husband I enjoyed the flavor melody of the Cranberry Apple Spinach Salad. My daughter always orders the Steak Frites. She loves them. My husband ordered the Wagyu beef burger. (When I order it, I order without chili). He loved it and both of them loved their french fries with truffle oil. OK. I steal some. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin, which comes with truffle oil mashed potatoes. It's always served cooked to perfection ( I order Medium Rare). We shared a Dulce De Leche Cheesecake. If you don't have time for dinner, just come for this! And of course, this was accompanied by a bottle of wine. It's nice to have a flavorful bottle of wine at a reasonable price. We also enjoy the historic charm of the restaurant. Sometime, we time it when they have live music, which included this night. Although High Noon has a full bar, we've found High Noon to be a place where our family can talk to one another and actually hear!
Loved the historic feel and the professionalism of the young wait staff...Cody and Ben. The guitarist played at just the right volume and the food was outstanding.
My only request would be to have a steak a size between the 8oz filet and the 14oz NY strip or ribeye.
When back in Albuquerque I will certainly revisit High Noon!
Laid back ambiance. Quiet enough to converse without having to raise one's voice. Live music a d outstanding food. The red chili steak bites appetizer was delicious.
This is a wonderful local favorite. The food is consistently good. The short ribs and beef bites in red Chile will change your life! We love the waiters, the bar is well stocked (Boodles Gin!) and the atmosphere spot on for New Mexico. Its been around for a long time and never disappoints. Bravo!
My cousin, her son, her granddaughter, and I really enjoyed our dinner here the other night. The decor is somewhat dark but tasteful. We were seated at a corner booth at a round table, which I have come to learn is a special table. I'm not sure why we were seated there except that I had made a reservation through Openable about a half an hour before we expected to arrive.
My cousin ordered the salmon (I always ask why order fish in a steakhouse but that's a story for another day), her son, who was celebrating his March 17 birthday early, had a huge, excellent portion of braised short ribs. The granddaughter/my goddaughter got a perfectly prepared buffalo burger, half of which she took home. My entrée was Steak Frites, ordered and delivered rare. Sumptuous on a bed of crispy, shoestring fries.
I'm planning to return next week to celebrate the Pi Day anniversary of the day my Susanne & I became engaged. Looking forward to another great dining experience!

Despite being carefully instructed about the various cooking levels by the waiter, the signature 8 ounce steak arrived cooked rare rather than medium as ordered.
Noise level was exceptionally loud due to uncouth diners at the next table. Why didn't the management have enough control of the dining environment to ask them to lower the volume and use their inside voices?
Must try the creamed hominy and the blue corn enchiladas had the best green chilis!
I just answered the question during the open table review process, "Would you recommend High Noon to a friend?" Yes. And even a better judge of the restaurant quality is, "Would you take a family member to High Noon?" Yes, and that's what we did. A family member came to visit and we wanted to take her to a great restaurant that epitomized Albuquerque - High Noon. We ordered an appetizer, Brie Empanadas. Our family guest said she'd order a meal of these...that good. She ordered the Cranberry Apple Spinach Salad, my husband the steak frites, and I ordered the High Noon Tenderloin. We shared our meats with our guest. She liked both very much. She loved the fries just as much as we do. We ordered the Dulce De Leche Cheesecake because it's too good not to. Our family member was impressed with the restaurant and went around the different rooms to check out the different themes. She told us that when she comes back in May, she'd like to return to High Noon.
I was blown away by the Brie empaneda's, the memory of which has me salivating right now... Truly delicious.
The Steak Frites were good, but would have benefited from a bit more jus or gravy, even on the side. Berry Cobbler was very very good.
Drinks were fine and adequately checked upon. Very reasonably priced.
I'd come back anytime and will remember this place for the next time I am visiting Abuquerque.
Upscale, great ambiance, terrific steaks... but the best part was the SERVICE. We had a special night.

Food claims to be traditional but found it lazy, overly worked, and poorly presented. The “Tres Amigas” was served with cold queso; we sent it back to be reheated. The “Plaza Plate” was multiple dishes (sampler) served cold on a much too small plate. The filet mignon was served with mashed potato stuffed enchiladas. It was heavy and flavorless. The margaritas were too sweet.
Would give 3.5 overall if able. The Red Chile Beef Bites were cooked perfectly, but the sauce tasted like it’d been thicken with raw flour just before service. Everything else was under seasoned. The saving grace was great device and fun atmosphere.
Visiting ABQ with family and looking for a good steak and ambience. We couldn’t have been happier. The building, room and ambience were perfect for old town and the tenderloin was excellent, as was the service! High Noon will henceforth be our go to place for steak! Excellent all around.
Had a great New Year's Eve. The service was great, our server was Valentine. We had been to high noon before 2 years ago, one of the Male servers recognized us, he was super nice and commented on how much our granddaughter had grown! The food was excellent, as was the wine.
Final night out with my parents before they head out of town. They had never been to High Noon and we suggested it. They totally enjoyed the ambience and dining experience. Thank you for living up to our hype!!
Great margaritas, ambiance, service, and food. This was my third visit and they've always been consistent. High Noon is becoming one of my favorite places in town.
Service was great and our food was fantastic. Our friends did have an issue with their steaks being over cooked vs. how they were ordered. Sent them back but didn’t receive until the rest of us were finished. Also, their cut of meat was not very good. Both of their rib-eyes were half fat. My wife and I as well as the other couple we were with enjoyed our food. The third couple on did not.
Always supportive of locally owned restaurants, we had a very disappointing time at High Noon and won't return. There was difficulty sitting down at our reserved table, with a fuss made by the host and one server worrying unprofessionally about who would receive the gratuity. Apparently, with a new chef, an excellent server-- who was trying to make up for mistakes made on simple drink and food orders--stated that the chef tended to cook the steaks too rare. My mom and my New York and ribeye steaks were terribly undercooked, full of fat, and of subpar quality. My mom sent her's back twice, and it still came out too rare and inedible. I could not eat mine and didn't bother sending it back. My mom wanted some bread, and the waiter immediately accommodated that; yet, it was stale, as if purchased at a cheap grocery store, and served with wrapped pats of butter like at Denny's. The foyer and bathroom were filthy and too dark. They desperately need attention paid to the ambiance, cleanliness, lovely lighting, fresh flowers, and nice seating--to warrant a place in a historic building. Last, anticipating a nice holiday birthday dinner, the Christmas tree and decorations weren't even up at the Old Town restaurant. The owners need to be present and get it shaped up!

The Turkey was overcooked and dry. We will probably try somewhere else next year.

Amazing as always. I have been eating at High Noon for years and have never had a bad experience. When business partners are in town they always request dinner at High Noon! The food is fantastic and they atmosphere is unique.

It’s tough eating non-spicy foods around Albuquerque! The wait staff was responsive to my needs and worked with me to find a suitable option. The salmon was done perfectly. The decor was wonderful and as an added bonus, a flamenco guitarist played in the room we were in. The only con was that the din in the dining area almost drowned out the performer.
We were celebrating a sale. The room is lovely. Food was just what we hoped for - excellent steaks and sides.
The only suggestion I have is to ensure each server has at least a little knowledge about the wines offered. He had not tasted them and could only say a lot of people ordered the two I asked about. To his credit, he did offer a taste.

Great place for an anniversary. The food was top notch. The steak I ordered was tender and juicy. My husband really enjoy his steak as well. We ordered two desserts the flan was better than apple cobbler. We will go back on a special occasion.
