Very disappointed.? Front room like an Interstate intersection with too many staff buzzing every which way, diners coming and going, temperature fluctuations due to front door opening and closing. A slimy overbearing waiter. Elk and foie gras dishes very disappointing due to a misrepresentation of elk sauce - just button mushrooms without sauce. The beautifully cooked and presented fresh foie gras drowning in a flood of duck based Demi glas. Even the arrival is in disarray as the hostess tells you to go to an unseen bar area which is already full! Clearly a restaurant that needs to look in the mirror and realize that it is living on reputation.
If you’re in Santa Fe and you are thinking about it - just do it. One of our best meals ever.
Food was delicious and every course was presented beautifully. Service was excellent too.
A wonderful meal. I had the Foie Gras and Elk. The waiter, Franck was attentive, funny and personable. Other staff - from reception through servers - projected a happy vibe. Highly recommend this place.
We sat outside on the patio which is a more casual dining experience than indoors. This was perfect for us as we weren’t prepared for the formal indoor dining experience. The meal was delicious starting with the fois gras appetizer and Asian pear salad with mini blue cheese finger sandwiches. The rack of lamb and NY strip were amazing. The flourless chocolate cake is not only beautiful to the eye but delicious and a must try. It’s difficult to find a restaurant that is on point from start to finish. Geronimo’s staff, in particular Chris and Missy, were pleasant and attentive making the experience near perfect.
We were vacationing in Santa Fe and this was our second visit to Geronimo. The atmosphere was quite hectic, but our server was attentive and our dinner was wonderful. My rack of lamb was excellent and my husband loved the elk. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Santa Fe.
Fantastic restaurant! Outstanding food. Very creative. Had the Elk Tenderloin which was amazing. Make a reservation far in advance. It’s worth it!
Fabulous dinner always love everything about this place
The food, service and ambiance were amazing!! We definitely would return. The only complaint I have is that we got charged $9 for sparkling water when I thought it was complimentary.
If there were more stars, I would give them.
Highly anticipating our visit to Geronimo, with a cold rainy evening appetizers, entree’s , and desserts were all delicious, beautifully plated, and quite filling. Our compliments to both the chef and pastry chef! Needless to say we were quite impressed and will surely return on our next visit to Santa Fe .
My wife and I have eaten at some amazing restaurants and would put Geronimo as our overall favorite dining experience. Great staff and wonderful food
We had a great time with our group of 6! Seated early, phenomenal service. The elk and the sea bass were amazing. Always the place we take our friends!
30th Wedding Anniversary
Great spot with excellent service starting with the valet. Perfect cocktails and a cozy ambience. Menu selections are artful cooked to perfection lemon crepe tart was to die for
We had wonderful food as always. However, there was a ventilation problem in the kitchen, so the dining room began to fill with smoke throughout the evening. This caused coughing & burning eyes among my dining party. The staff did turn on the ceiling fans & AC fans after our complaints, but that was a temporary fix. The problem persisted. In addition, the staff offered no real apology, only excuses that made no sense.: “The cold weather” “The old building” I have dined here many times & this is the first time this has ever happened. I think a comped starter or dessert should have been offered.
My first back to Santa Fe in a very long time and what a great restaurant. It was a great meal and a very nice walk to and from the hotels near the Plaza.
We dined at Geronimo for our last night in Santa Fe while on vacation. The service was very attentive and the food was wonderful. My husband thoroughly enjoyed two specials that evening---crab cake appetizer and tomahawk pork chop. My and truffle leek soup was delicious and the green miso sea bass was cooked to perfection and served atop ramen. The Fresh Meyer Lemon Crepe was bursting with flavor. Lovely, elegant.
We had a delicious meal with excellent service
pre wedding dinner! AMAZING waiter and food!
Omg. One of the best restaurants we have dined at. From when you walk in until you leave we felt so special! We had the carpaccio and tuna for appetizers. Then my husband had the elk and I had the sea bass......both were absolutely amazing! Thank you for an amazing anniversary dinner that will be remembered for a long time.
Geronimo remains one of the best restaurants in the US. Being something of a foodie and having eaten in many good restaurants around the world, I always look forward to a meal at Geronimo. I would not hesitate to take out of town guests from Paris to Geronimo as I can rest assured that it competes with some of the best in Europe while keeping its special Santa Fe atmosphere and ambiance. Hats off to Chef Sllin Cruz and his team for maintaining a consistently great restaurant across the years.
the wasabi Caesar Salad was fabulous as always. My husband and I shared the tuna appetizer and the elk tenderloin entree and were so satisfied. The service was attentive. Wonderful evening!
All round top notch food & service experience... without being too stuffy!
Third time to Geronimo. Previous two visits were exceptional. This visit equaled or exceeded them. From the time we turned our car over to the valet to the time we picked up our car from the valet, every detail was perfect. I don’t know how they do it. We started with perfect martinis, followed by ahi tartare, shared Caesar. Wife had lobster, I had the sea bass. Staff made us feel great. One of the finest restaurants we ever have visited.
Food quality is second to none. Portions are perfect and flavors divine. Our server, Craig, made excellent suggestions. We will be back!
We were recently in Santa Fe for the Wine and Chile Festival. We secured a reservation at Geronimo quite some time advance as we knew it would be a busy weekend. There were 6 of us and we all exited saying "Wow! What a great meal and experience!" The service was very good and every suggestion was spot on. Prices are not unreasonable given the high quality of each dish. My wife and I had dined at Geronimo about 25 years ago and had a wonderful experience - only to have this one match or exceed it. We will not let so much time pass as we are already planning a return trip.
Lovely serene decor in an historic house that conveyed elegance, but was not pretentious. The food was peautifully prepared and presented in a timely fashion. The staff was polite and efficient.
This is our go to for special occasions.
The food is excellent, the setting is beautiful and the service is top of top.
The wait staff was very attentive & professional. We enjoyed the atmosphere & ambiance. We highly recommend GERONIMO to our Friends. The food is FIVE STAR QUALITY 🌟
It would be cliche to call Geronimo Santa Fe's finest upscale restaurant, but I'll call it that anyway. This was our second visit to Geronimo, and it was as memorable as our first. The moment you walk in you know you've arrived somewhere special. To say this place is "dimly lit" is an understatement. (Some diners don't like this element, which is why I'm calling attention to it.) The ambiance is warm and sexy. The seating is tight but comfortable. It feels like a party gathering throughout the restaurant. The scene in the bar/lounge is vibrant and the bartenders are friendly and responsive. After before-dinner drinks, we dined very well in a comfortable corner booth. Our server was on top of everything throughout the evening. We started with a delicious Caesar salad--big! The dressing had a Wasabi slant, which was very interesting. The dressing and fresh Parmesan were plentiful, as were the anchovies. (A couple could easily share this salad as a first course.) After debating our choices of entrees we just couldn't resist the elk tenderloin. This dish is exquisite. There is an "exotic" rub and the loin is pan-seared for the perfect crust. Inside, the meat is flavorful and tender. (I wouldn't call this a "gamy" dish at all; a beef tenderloin is also available, but the Elk is more unique and worth the "experiment" if that's what it would be.) It was served over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes with bacon and some other vegetable garnishes. The dish simply blends together into a marvelous whole--like a symphony of flavors and textures. Next time we return it would be difficult to deviate from the elk, which is something you don't see every day. Geronimo is every bit as deserving of your attention as its four diamond AAA rating implies. It's the absolute must-go-to dining destination in Santa Fe.
Always lovely atmosphere. Our shrimp with rice cakes and lamb south polenta cakes could have been a little hotter, and our red wine (a delicious Robert Biale Black Cjicken Zin) was served room temperature, so it required chilling slightly. Love the lavosh.
We came to Santa Fe for the wine and chili grand tasting with two other couples. It was a great dinner choice with awesome food and wonderful service.
One of the best restaurants ever!!!
Perfect. Just perfect.
Same outstanding service and high quality food as always. We’ll be back soon!
Wait staff was wonderful, tables very crowded, quite noisy, atmosphere was very elegant in an old Hollywood kind of way, food was good ... nice experience
Our 6th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t of asked for a better place or waiter. Nori was fantastic and we will be back next weekend. Thank you
Outstanding on all levels. Food was fantastic and the service was impeccable, while still being warm and welcoming. The staff makes it seem like they are genuinely happy to see you. Cannot say enough good things: just go!
Really great date night restaurant. Everything was amazing. We had the carpaccio for app and then the Elk and Sea Bass for our meals. All delicious! We’ll be back next time we visit.
