Several people recommended this restaurant prior to our visiting Santa Fe. The experience
My new husband and I went to Geronimo’s for a romantic dinner while on our honeymoon. It was a perfect choice to wrap up our trip to Santa Fe. We had drinks, and appetizer and steaks. The crab cakes were good, but I don’t think we would get them again. The elk tenderloin however, was amazing. It is one of their signature dishes that has been on the menu for many years and we now know why. We were too full after dinner to get dessert, but our waitress did bring us complimentary glasses of the local favorite Gruet as a congratulations for our honeymoon. We plan on going back to Geronimo the next time we make it to Santa Fe!
Lovely quiet atmosphere. Love the tall curtains and tablecloths and calm colors. Tasteful decorations, fireplaces in every room. Service was absolutely perfect...A favorite place for us.1
Nothing to complain about. First rate experience from beginning to end. Will definitely come back
Geronimo is always fabulous and the largest part of its magic is its impeccable, never-fail service at each step of the dining experience, from the friendly, prompt valet service to the quick delivery of coats at the time of departure. First off, they go out of their way to accommodate you in any way they can. We were initially offered a table in a section of the restaurant that is not my favorite but after requesting a different section, we were quickly shown to a table there. Second, we are a bit finicky with our food preferences but after requesting that my tuna tartar be prepared without salt, I was accommodated without any problems. And, unlike in some other restaurants around town, they never include anything overly salty in your dish if they know that you try to avoid salt. I even have, on another occasion, been made aware of something in a dish that is inherently salty and been given the choice of leaving it off.
The food is excellent. My husband and I both had the carpaccio which was very good. The sauces that came with my tuna tartar were delicious. My husband pronounced his scallops excellent. The service is just right, not too slow or fast, not overly familiar, just friendly and timely. The only suggestion I might make is that the cheese plate, which I ordered for dessert, needs a bit of work. I know it's on the bar menu, not the dessert menu, but it could use a bit more variety in the cheese choices. Geronimo is always our choice for special occasions because you just can't go wrong dining there.
We had a wonderful time on our special occassion, I would reccomend this place to anyone. Food was amazing!
My wife and my first date in Santa Fe was at Geronimo's 13 years ago. We now live in Sausalito, so returning there was special. We love the coziness of dining in the bar near the fireplace, as opposed to the somewhat more formal dining room. The food was outstanding, never had better lamb chops, and the service was great. The overall experience could not have been finer.
Best Birthday dinner ever! Great bar area - service was outstanding.
Geronimo’s never disappoints! The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is elegant and the service is attentive and unobtrusive. My favorite Santa Fe restaurant.
Had a wonderful evening celebrating my husband’s birthday. The service was superior with just the right amount of time given between courses. The waiter was attentive but not overly so. Food was amazing - mushroom bisque, beef tenderloin and crab cakes were all deliciously prepared. Geronimo’s is highly rated for good reason. It continues to be an exceptional restaurant not only in comparison to Santa Fe but also nationally.
Awesome as ever!
The Asian-southwest fusion of flavors was a pleasant surprise. Everything was delicious!
My favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Outstanding cuisine, great friendly service. I am never disappointed.
Food was excellent- service was excellent.
We were seated in the back dining room. We’ve been in it before, but this time the smoke smells from the kitchen were almost overwhelming. The food was fabulous and the service top-notch, but the kitchen needs better ventilation!
This is one of those restaurants that is truly in another league. The host staff to the wait staff were truly trained and cared about your experiance. If this business were Michelin rated it would easily be three *. Congratulations on your success, Geronimo deserves it.
Elegant ambience, gracious service, and superb food. A special experience all around!
Geronimo’s continues to amaze us with each visit. The crepe dessert was so delicious we went back the next night just for that dessert
This was a wonderful dinner. Food was marvelous and beautifully plated. Best we had inSanta Fe.
This place will change you. Your tastebuds will awaken, and you will discover new flavors and food symphonies. Like a new culinary universe. It’s that amazing. This review will only make sense to someone who has already been to Geronimos. The experience can only be described by taste. Geronimos is fluent in food. Artisans of taste. #GeronimosISFoodFusionWhisperer
Geronimo is one of my favorite places to dine in Santa Fe. I wanted to share the experience with some family who were visiting from out of town for the holiday and it did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was great. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!
Amazing experience and best food we have had to date. No wonder they are a top 100 restaurant in the US! It was a dream. Service was phenomenal and food was divine. We got lobster gnocchi (my personal favorite), turkey, wagyu with a delicious truffle pesto, and lobster tails. Substantial amount of food and left with our bellies full! Don’t forget dessert! the fiancé basically drank their coffee Angoria (spel?) after asking for extra on the side. The flourless German cake was a beautiful presentation and good for those who love dark chocolate! Yum! 10/10 recommend and sad for those who rated less than that! Amazing valet as well, changed our XM radio to Sinatra to end the wonderfully romantic night.
This is our third time dining at Geronimo. We decided fo treat ourselves to their Thanksgiving menu on Thanksgiving Day. Quite simply: it was the treat we were anticipating. Geronimo is the best restaurant in New Mexico. We are fine dining and wine connoisseurs and Geronimo never disappoints. This restaurant can compete with any establishment on either coast, Las Vegas, Chicago etc. There were five of us dining and everyone was very pleased with their experience. The first course included salads with beautiful presentations that upgraded the usual fare you might anticipate. Two of our table mates ordered the gnocchi with lobster. They stated the sauce was the perfect accompaniment. It wasn’t too rich and was a wonderful prelude to the main course. For dinner some of us ordered the traditional Thanksgiving offering (Turkey and sides) and some of us ordered the elk. Perfection. The elk was prepared beautifully and the turkey dinner was anything but pedestrian. The sides came in little square ramekins - just the right size. Like the salads, the ingredients were upgrade and the exquisite take on an ordinary bean casserole, cranberries and sweet potatoes was equal part fun and satisfying. I ordered the “apple” for dessert. A scrumptious apple custard that was fashioned into an apple with glaze. A work of art. The service at Geronimo is always way above par - attentive and personable. The atmosphere modern but warm. The only (sort of) complaint is that they charge more for the sane bottles of wine that you might find at other fine dining establishments elsewhere. However, if this is what it takes to maintain a lovely wait staff who can garner a living wage, it is worth it. I definitely recommend Geronimo for any very special occasion.
Just outstanding I n every aspect one of the best restaurants we have experienced is
This is an excellent restaurant all around. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. The hosts and waiters had savoir-faire and charm. My chile margarita was a wonderful surprise and I kept with my dinner, even though the wine list was outstanding. My only observation would be that the space is small. It adds to the warmth, but it can be difficult to walk around the tables. The restaurant was packed, so perhaps a remodeling is in order. I will return.
Outstanding meal. Attentive staff that were not overly attentive in a good way. Noise level allowed for a four-way conversation. Absolutely perfect.
Consistently outstanding meals and service. Highly personalized experience.
This was our first time to Geronimo. Very friendly hostess and server. Food was terrific. We would return and also recommend.
My brother’s experience in Santa Fe had several high points, one of which was our dinner at Geronimo. He loved the elk, and my vegan entree was the best I’ve had seen I’ve lived here, off and on for 24 years.
Lovely atmosphere, exceptional service, and just so relaxing.
Our absolute favorite restaurant in Sante Fe. A must for every visit!
The wait staff was professional and cordial; the food was delicious; and I particularly enjoyed the complementary Gruet! My only request would be that you carry a 2XL in your shirts.
The hardest thing about writing this review is deciding whether the spectacular service or the spectacular food were more impressive. Came here for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner after originally coming here for our honeymoon 25 years ago. I’m going to go start with the service. Our server was Russell and from the moment we walked in he and the entire staff made our evening amazing. Russell was gracious, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to let us know how much they appreciated us making Geronimo part of our anniversary. His food and wine recommendations were excellent. As for the food, OMG! I had the wasabi Caesar salad and prawns for my main course. My wife had the Asian pear salad and the scallops for her main dish ( the secret ingredient is fermented black garlic,). The Meyer lemon crepe for dessert was ridiculous. We loved everything about Geronimo.
Wonderful dining experience and our server Jay was fantastic.
I had anticipated a quiet dinner date with my wife. Unfortunately, we were seated in a small room between a party of 10 men and a party of 8 women. Service, atmosphere, and dining experience suffered as a result. Shame on me for not requesting to be switched, but shame on them for seating a two-top between two large groups. The food is of very high quality: fresh ingredients, excellent preparation. The wine list is extensive. Under different circumstances, I could envision a highly rated experience. Unfortunately, on this occasion, my experience was disappointing.
My father in law’s 69th birthday. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Perfect in every way: food, ambiance and service. A real gem. Wished I lived in Santa Fe so that I could go there frequently.
Everything about Geronimo is outstanding. We have been coming here for special occasions for over 10 years. It never disappoints.
Geronimo is the best restaurant in Santa Fe!
Expensive, but definitely worth every penny. You absolutely must try the elk tenderloin.
