We loved our waiter and the food was impeccable!
I have been all over the world and this is my favorite restaurant ever !
In the 25+ years of coming to Santa Fe, at least one meal at Geronimo has always been a highlight. This visit was no exception. Hands down, it’s the very best dining experience anyone can have in a highly competitive, “foodie” obsessed town like Santa Fe. On this visit, we enjoyed the pear salad, tenderloin steak frites, diver scallops, and two shared desserts-the lemon crepe and banana cream “pie”. All exceptional. What other restaurants say can’t be done...cooking a steak medium well, substituting potatoes as the base for the scallops...was done without the bat of an eye, and to perfection. Dinka, our server, was exemplary...attentive and professional, making us feel valued and well taken care of, despite also having a large 11-person party to take care of at an adjacent table. As already mentioned, we have seen the evolution of Geronimo through the years...when they served lunch (always lovely on the patio in the summer), during the years of Chef Eric at the helm, and even when a real wood fire would burn in the back room kiva fireplace. It’s a true comfort to know that the owner has kept the essence of Geronimo, what made you love it in the first place, intact, and with Chef Sllian Cruz at the helm, keeping us coming back. Other highly regarded restaurants in town could take serious lessons from the team at Geronimo. All said...Geronimo...just keep doin’ you! We will be returning again and again!
Outstanding as always. My favorite restaurant in Santa Fe.
The food was excellent, nice quiet ambiance, attentive service. Only comment was there was very little on the wine list under $100.
Outstanding every visit! Reginaldo and the very capable associate from France (who’s name now escapes me - sorry) and other staff are the best people. Thank you all for doing what you do. From the kitchen to the front. We appreciate you!
The menu, service and ambiance were great. However, two of the four diners had celiac disease, and asked a number of questions about certain items and their preparation. While the waiter was extremely accommodating, it seemed to all of us that perhaps the chef was not going to be receptive to a third inquiry, and that there was some annoyed pushback to the waiter’s questions on our behalf. Sadly, although the food tasted delicious, both diners had severe reactions to the food that was promised to be gluten free and safe for them to eat. A restaurant of this caliber should be trustworthy and this was not. We will never dine there again.
Always a pleasure. Menu has Lotts of good stuff and the prep is excellent. Definitely the best in Santa Fe.
Extremely kind and thoughtful personnel. Have coat check. Magical kind of setting- old adobe house have to walk through curtains to enter! Has Valet parking and the valet guy extremely pleasant. Food excellent and always if possible try Special Chef's nightly renderings. Interesting desserts. My only issue was that
i had to practically walk into kitchen to get to a very narrow door leading to Ladies Room but once inside very clean and modern.
Great when we moved from being sandwiched between 2 loud annoying parties of people to the other room. From that point on it was ANAZiNG!! Will be back when in town- 10 stars!
Food and service were exquisite! Would recommend this to anyone coming to Santa Fe for fine dining - get the foie gras!
Always a treat!
Excellent in every respect. May be the consistently best dining experience in Santa Fe.
It was, as always, an exquisite experience in dining. The food was superb, the service knowledgeable and engaging; quite frankly, I cannot say anything else except that Geronimo needs to be experienced by all who enjoy a total and top notch dining experience. Thank you again for being the amazing restaurant that you are. Sincerely, Jay Davis
As always, the food and service were superb. Jay was a wonderful waiter, and his dessert suggestions were spot on.
Santa Fe Classic. Would recommend one meal there. Menu has done little changing over the years but everything is cooked perfectly and well seasoned.
Food and service top notch. The special lasagne was incredible as was the elk. If I have one suggestion, it was the bread. With everything being so incredible, we felt the bread fell short.
Get the scallops
Always exceptional! Best in Santa Fe..the state...the Southwest...the...you get the idea!
Geronimo is one the top restaurants in the country and we were not disappointed in 2020. Always a refined elegant ambiance while maintaining a comfortable and authentic atmosphere. The service is very attentive and our waiter Frank made the evening special. Always expect innovative cuisine with some standards on the menu and we were not disappointed. If you are in Santa Fe, Geronimo must be at the top of your dining-out list.
I’ve eaten here a number of times over the years, and the food was always good, as was the service. I have had beautiful times here.
This time the beef tenderloin was delicious.
Vegetarian tasting uninspired.
Perhaps they should try adding some new items to menu.
Waiter was odd—and spoke at great length, a foot or so from my head—to people seated behind us, etc.
Candles instead of flames in fireplace— disappointing.
Seems like prices have increased and the feeling of the place now mirrors some of the negative aspects of Santa Fe’s increasing posh-ification.
I love the atmosphere at Geronimo, especially the front room. It's beautiful, great art, calm and generally
quiet. The food is wonderful. Among the six of us we had the Elk, lamb chops, steak, chile prawns and pork chop. Everyone loved their food - so much that we were too full for dessert. Good drinks, appropriately sized and a wonderful wine list. What more can one ask for?
Always first class everything including ambiance, food, service, wine selection. We have been to Geronimo on each visit to Santa Fe over the years. It is always a notch above!
Always a favorite in Santa Fe. Never disappointed!
Delicious meal and amazing service! We were very happy to celebrate our anniversary here. The elk and the center cut ribeye were amazing.
New Year’s Eve dinner with my adult son and Geronimo lived up to the hype-reputation. Fantastic meal and service. Our server, Craig, was most accommodating, especially when giving advice about the heartiest selections to appease the appetite of my 29 year old companion. From the first course to the third, presentation was perfect and the food delicious. Great way to bring in 2020,
We had an early dinner at Geronimo on New Year's Eve. They had a pre fixe menu for the night, but from what I could tell, all of the menu favorites were included on the NYE menu. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable. The cocktails, wine and food were outstanding. I would come back here in a heartbeat!
Waiter was amazing. Gave great suggestions, that we took, and were not disappointed. Atmosphere unbelievable, and the holiday decorations were beautiful. Will definitely return.
Wonderful as always
Couldn’t have celebrated our 40th Anniversary at a better restaurant - I characterize the restaurant among the very best I have ever experienced - and I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in Napa.
Food preparation and ingredients of each dish were thoughtful in the combination of ingredients, flavors and presentation was excellent.
Service was outstanding, pace orchestrated by waitress was splendid and an evening. Thoughtfulness of staff from the hostess to the parking valet and staff was exhibited throughout in the evening’s interactions. We very much appreciated the employees exhibited special touches recognizing our anniversary.
Highly recommend for any meal, any occasion, anytime when finding yourself in Santa Fe.
Great experience. Everyone loved their meal. The creativity and food presentation are exceptional!
We had outstanding service-couldn’t have been better. Drinks, bread, soup, and entrees were superb! My husband loved the tenderloin and creme brûlée. I ordered the sea bass, and while it was good, it was under-seasoned. Our table was a bit close for comfort to the next table, but I tried to ignore that. Ambience and music were lovely. Overall-I would definitely recommend Geronimo’s and we would most definitely return!
An amazing restaurant. Wonderful location on Canyon Road in a charming old adobe filled with warm furnishings and charm. Service was exceptional with friendly, timely and professional attention. The meal was exceptional. The Lobster Ravioli was a wonderful appetizer. The Sweet Corn and Lobster Chowder, Mushroom Bisque and Asian Pear Salad were enjoyed by our party as second courses. The Elk was wonderful with rich taste and very tender. The Green Miso Sea Bass and Seared Scallops were equally enjoyed. The Toffee Creme Brulee and the Tiramisu were excellent closers to the meal. Memorable meal and evening.
This is one of my very favorite restaurants in the world! The food is fabulous, the service is always wonderful. We hav enjoyed many meals here over the years.
The food, service and ambience were outstanding.I would recommend Geronimo to anyone interested in fine dining in Santa Fe, New Mexican. My family and I will go back again very soon. I recommend Geronimo very highly. I know you will not be disappointed.
Geronimo never, ever disappoints. We go there 3 times a year to celebrate various occasions. We were a little bummed to not see the crab cakes on the appetizer menu but it allowed us to try something new and we were just as pleased with the new to us, appetizers. The main dishes were a knock out, as always and the desserts, perfecto. I highly recommend the green lotus as a cocktail recommendation; you can’t have just one. The best restaurant, by far, in NM. Thanks again to Chris and Mary et al. Your staff is incredible and we always have the best evenings when we go there.
Fabulous ambiance and service. Wine excellent, dessert of lemon crepe sublime. Entrées and starters just ok - was not as expected. Will return and order differently
An excellent choice for fine dining in Santa Fe. The ambiance and decor is very inviting and the large leather seating makes for a very comfortable evening. Our server, Grant, was amazing. He offered very informed recommendations all along the way and definitely did not lead us astray. His level of attentiveness was just right and even brought us a few gifts from the kitchen during the evening. The wine list is extensive, but not overwhelming, and they had a nice selection of $100'ish Burgundy's, which is always a nice and welcome surprise. The historical building in a beautiful location only enhances the experience. A must do in Santa Fe.
Geronimo is the best dining experience in Santa Fe. Ambiance is sophisticated but not pretentious. Food is exceptional and service is excellent. Not inexpensive but always a great evening
Service and food was absolutely outstanding. This is a must if you’re in Santa Fe.
