   Great food and interior design, but poor service. I made a reservation for 16-17 people, but we managed to be 21-22. The Restaurant manager and receptionist behaved terribly. The extra 5 friends turned up one by one. Each of them had to wait for a long time, before they were ALLOWED to sit down. Every time I had to ask the permission of the restaurant manager to have them sited like she was the customer and I was their servant. Such an attitude, I’ve never seen before. Maybe I would understand a bit more their behaviour, if they were really busy, but there were so many free tables. The service at the table was slow, not really used with big groups.

   Harvey Nichols has the cachet, a decent venue and an excellent French lady manager. But some of the food is not of a standard that you would find on HN's own shelves. The wines are excellent. Service is friendly but not classy; the UK problem, we do not respect the profession sufficiently.

   Enjoyed the food and the speedy service. A large table with drunken people close by spoiled the atmosphere. Not the restaurants fault, but perhaps they should try and organise big groups in a slightly more separate area so everyone can have the dinner they want.

   You would expect Harvey Nicks to be bustling with fashionistas and atmosphere. All sadly lacking and the scruffy, short wearing tourists did not help. The lunch menu was poor in its selection and the house wine terrible. So all in all not good, which is a shame as it used to be such fun.

   Had high expectations of Season, Harvey Nics new restaurant - I was not disappointed. We kicked started our lunch with beautiful summer cocktails, which were refreshing and perfect for the summer heat. For starter I opted for a mackeral veloute and caviar, the way it was presented was amazing and the flavours blended so well. For the mains I had cod, which just melted in my mouth, my partner had the seabream and saffron rice, which was equally esquisite in texture and flavour. Beautiful! The restaurant was decorated with summer trees, which was interesting, but worked well and made the room have a fresh feel. The staff were great too. Highly recommend!

   The lunch menu surprisingly affordable and pretty good value for money. Wines superb as was service. We had a lovely afternoon with friends to celebrate a little, and it did feel special. I only wish other patrons would think it as special and not turn up scruffy and eat their burgers with coats on! I wonder if the staff could gently do something about it.

   I took the 30 quid - 3 course + cocktail offer. Starters and mains were decent, dessert was good, but you only get 9 dishes to chose from (3 each for each course). Not sure how good the regular menu was as we didn't see it.

   I booked the fifth floor for afternoon tea, after two mix ups with timings and crossed phone calls, I was thoroughly looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately it was not as special as I had imagined. Although very nice, and fantastic service, the additional costs and water plus 12.5 service charge put FifthFloor into The Ritz price bracket. In comparison, The Ritz is far superior for the same money.

   I had a friend visiting from Canada so I wanted somewhere special to take her for afternoon tea. Harvey Nichols theme their afternoon tea and change it every couple of months. The new theme is 'The Great Gatsby'. It was beautifully done. Every little detail had been though out and the atmosphere was lovely with 1920's music playing in the background. The waiting staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive and pleasant. The food was spectacular! It's a gorgeous menu and a very memorable experience. Highly recommend.
