Solid place to go for dinner and drinks, even more so if you can go during happy hourMore infoGravity Heights Sorrento ValleyPrice: Moderate• American• Sorrento Mesa•4.6

First, the atmosphere was perfect—modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable without being noisy. It set the ideal tone for an intimate and relaxed celebration. The service was outstanding, especially from Jeremiah and the rest of the staff. They made us feel truly special, never rushed us, and ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect. Now, onto the food and drinks—everything was exceptional. We started with the Squash Blossom Lettuce Wraps, which were light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For cocktails, we had the “Not Too Old Fashioned” and “Garden Soirée”, both beautifully crafted and perfectly balanced. For the main course, I had the Filet Mignon, and I can confidently say it was the best steak I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned and cooked to a flawless medium. The sherry-glazed mushrooms were a standout, rich and full of flavor, and the shareable portions of the sides made it easy to try a little bit of everything. To finish, we indulged in a Sandeman port and a decadent slice of chocolate cake, the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Ember & Rye for a special occasion or just a memorable night out!More infoEmber & RyePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Carlsbad•4.7
