Best Restaurants with Great Beer in Oceanside

We visit Campfire every time we visit Carlsbad from Northern California. Like sister Carlsbad restaurant Jeune and Jolie (Michelin starred), the food is incredible and the service is flawless. This time, the menu did not include one of our favorites (the barbecued quail), but all the dishes we had (roasted oysters and shrimp, beet salad, crudo, roasted broccoli and sea bass entree) were all fantastic. Service for our anniversary dinner was best we have had anywhere, especially our server Olivia. Thank you Campfire team for a wonderful celebration dinner!

Dining at Matsu was a fabulous and elevated experience. I was dining alone so I got there early at 4.30, so it enabled me to enjoy leisurely without a too many exuberant happy diners. My server Coltrane, was well versed in the seasonal menu and was very happy to share all succinct facts plus the details of ingredients, primarily perhaps I was v curious too. Mr. William Eick, the lead creator force at Matsu was quietly present and observant. I would now return most eagerly to enjoy the next seasons’ offerings at Matsu.
