Peppercorn’s Grill is owned and operated by the Cialfi siblings, Sal and Dino, Brothers Sal and Dino purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian roots. Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When the opportunity to open a restaurant arose, they jumped at the opportunity and opened the first Piccolo Arancio in Rome. Piccolo Arancio was internationally acclaimed within their first year.     We went to Trumbull Kitchen for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in the hostess was very warm and friendly and greeted us with a birthday card. Service was excellent--attentive, and knowledgable about the menu. Our server took time to talk interact with us and other tables, which continued the welcoming experience. The decor payed homage to local culture, including posters from the Hartford stage, which gave the place a classy feel. Food itself was amazing. We ordered the tuna tataki special small plate and the rock shrimp fritters, which are on the regular menu. Fritters were honestly one of my favorite things I've eaten at a restaurant this year--truly delicious. For dinner we had the Hanger Steak and Skirt Steak--both steak dishes were distinct, cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. Delicious! We did not have dessert, but were presented with a birthday ice cream courtesy of the kitchen. This place did everything to earn a recommendation and a future visit! Thank you!

    Great atmosphere inside and on the outside patio (have eaten both) and friendly service. We were a half hour late (I apologized), half of our party did not show, and they still had our table and were very courteous. Wonderful waitress, very patient with us.
