Best Seasonal Restaurants in Oxford

Love the ambience and we sat at a lovely table downstairs near a window. Food was yummy, drink was yummy and service was annoyingly quick. I felt like we were being watched and as soon as our fork went down, and our plate was close to empty, someone was there to whisk it away. I was asked if they could take my drink away, which I wanted to finish, while there was another sip left. My partners plate was taken away as I was still eating. I understand turning the table over but this was happening after we were there for an hour and continued all the way until we left. As soon as our butts came off our chairs our table was pounced upon and cleared before we exited the restaurant. I know you have a two hour limit for two guests, but I think that perhaps it’s beginning to overshadow the dining experience.

Great Mother's Day brunch outside and food was warm and prompt. Service was good but not excellent but it was a busy day for the staff I am sure. Brunch was amazing and the fritatta was delicious as the breakfast burger and panini.

Our party of three came here for Mother’s Day lunch and were quickly seated (thanks to our reservation) at a high top table and waited on by very attentive and friendly staff. Just a lovely experience. We started with two appetizers including the house made burrata which came nestled on a slice of grilled pineapple and salad of arugula and citrus dressing, and seared tuna crostini. As my wife says, they were to die for. Simply delicious. Drinks consisted of the rose gimlet, elderflower martini and a gin concoction. All amazing. Lunch choices included the tuna pad Thai, short ribs over mashed potatoes, and lobster Mac n cheese. Portions were generous and we each needed doggie bags. We had the special buttercream rainbow cake, and the almond torte with Arethusa vanilla ice cream along with cappuccino and coffee for dessert. Do I need to tell you that we were as stuffed as Santa’s sleigh? Why? The food was just about as good as it can get. Cooked well and finely. The staff were well trained and accommodating. Just an absolute pleasure.

ALL of our celebrations are at The Station Restaurant!! Food is phenomenal with generous portions. Our waiter was excellent, and we will be back there again soon.
