We offer a specialist yakitori menu at dinner - skewers of free-range, slow-reared chicken over hot charcoal on our custom-made hibachi - as well as classic izakaya dishes, including miso black cod and tempura, accompanied by a curated selection of wines, Japanese sakes and whiskies. Our signature beak-to-tail menu features 17 Yakitori cuts. This set is available at dinner time and on weekdays only. It would require 2 working days' advance booking, and a 50% deposit. Food was not ambitious, but still excellent, particularly in terms of value for money. My only reservation (apart from having to go a long way downstairs to find the loos and almost getting lost on the way back!) was the slow service. On this occasion none of our party was in a hurry, and we were allowed to stay over an hour longer than specified on our booking, which was brilliant, but it would not have been so great if we had been working to a deadline.
