Following the enormous success of Zuma London, Rainer Becker quickly recognised the huge popularity of robatayaki cuisine and opened ROKA Charlotte Street, London in 2004. The principal cuisine comes from the Robata grill. Located amid diners the grill forms an integral design element of all the restaurants but more than being a stunning feature, the robata is truly the heart of ROKA. In 2007, Hamish Brown became the Head Chef of ROKA Charlotte Street. A native New Zealander, Hamish brought with him a great passion for blending the great Asian cuisines that make up the Western Pacific Rim. We are not good critics or food connoisseurs… yday we went as a family to celebrate the bdays of our kids to Avatara. We had heard abt the restaurant and chef Rana , and had recently seen him on tv in a reality show. The chef is a kind humble person and that is seen in the food he serves . The entire team of Avatara were extremely kind and polite . As much as chef Rana s food made us feel special , so did the team ( shubham ) . It was an experience a journey that we will never forget . Chef Rana s food makes you travel around India via the flavours n the ingredients and his magical cuisine … Thank you team Avatara , thank you Chef Rana and bless you
