- PP.C.Las Vegas •2 reviews4.0Dined on May 10, 2025We had a lovely evening at The Block—a charming spot in Provo with a strong farm-to-table ethos and some truly standout dishes. The food was overall very tasty, though the prices leaned a bit high for the portion sizes and setting. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, but the comfort level could use some improvement. The metal four-legged tables, while stylish, were a bit of a nuisance—both my wife and I managed to bump our knees more than once. We appreciated the seasonal focus of the menu, but it was a little surprising to see items like filet of beef and lasagna listed online, which don’t typically vary with the seasons. A few more “standard” or consistent menu options would be a welcome addition. As for the food: the pear salad and wedge salad were both excellent starters. The pork belly, while flavorful, lacked the crispy texture I usually look for and could have used a touch more seasoning. The Bolognese was the star of the night—rich, well-balanced, and beautifully paired with bucatini. Others at our table enjoyed the gnocchi and short rib, though the gnocchi also could have used a bit more seasoning. The optional focaccia bread was a highlight—possibly the best I’ve ever had. Service was smooth and the meal took about an hour, which felt just right for a relaxed dinner. All in all, The Block is a great choice for a special night out, especially if you appreciate fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Just be ready for a few minor quirks along the way.More infoBlock RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Provo•4.4
