グランド郡の人々にとって特別な機会に訪れる場所といえば、Ranch House Restaurant at Devil's Thumb Ranchをおいて他にありません。コンティネンタル・ディバイドの一面の牧草地のはずれに控えめに建つ、使い込まれた堅木張りの床のレストランで、1930年代当初に牧場に建てられた邸宅内にあります。初期の開拓者たちは、ヘラジカやムースがのんびりと歩きまわる様子や、都会では決して見ることのない夜空を覆いつくす満天の星などの雄大な眺めを見てこの地に家を建てたと思えます。初期の牧場主はよく食べることとは何か、もよく理解していたようです。Ranch House Restaurantは開拓者たちのスタイルと伝統を守り続けているレストランで、新しいアメリカの山料理、つまり本物の食材を使用した本物の料理を提供しています。できる限り有機栽培/飼育の新鮮でおいしい地元の食材を使用するようにしています。
