It’s a perfect balance between casual comfort and upscale dining for parents, romantic dates, and intimate gathering with friends. From the moment we walked in, the spacious, inviting dining area and waitstaff made us feel at home. Service was solid from start to finish: attentive and the staff was warm and knowledgeable about both the menu and drink options. The house gose we tried was local and so tartly sparkly and refreshing! After putting in our order, our food arrived in about 10-15 minutes. We started our meal with the fried green tomatoes. It was served with pickled onions and a smear of spicy pimiento cheese. First time enjoying this dish: found it crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a zesty spicy-ish sauce that paired very well with the rest. The special blackened tuna dish was a pleasant surprise, offering a lighter twist with a summer watermelon salsa. For our mains, the steak was cooked as we asked and paired well with our 2 chosen sides of collard greens and garlicky crispy fingerling potatoes. The shaved brussel sprouts with bacon had just the right amount of crunch and smokiness, while the cornbread, served warm with butter, was the perfect sweet complement! Dessert was also delicious! The chocolate torte cake was rich and indulgent, with subtle notes of hazelnut and a hint of espresso, finished with a unique touch of honey that added an unexpected sweetness. We were disappointed that the vanilla bean cheesecake was unavailable, but the torte more than made up for it! The restaurant’s large, clean bathrooms and overall attention to detail were a nice touch, making the experience feel both polished and comfortable for us. Overall, this spot is a solid choice for anyone seeking a higher-end southern dining experience with excellent service and a lovely, quite intimate atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back to explore the rest of the ever-changing menu!More infoMayaPrice: Expensive• Southern• Charlottesville•4.7
- JJosephPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined on Jun 11, 2025Creative dishes well-executed using local and select ingredients, very attentive service, great beverage choices including house-made hazelnut liqueur. Golden tilefish over Parisian gnocchi and broccoli, strawberry peppercorn cheesecake. One of the best reasons to go out, to eat dishes you would not make yourself. Continues to be the best restaurant in the valley.More infoJoshua Wilton HousePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Harrisonburg•4.9
