A Family Tradition for Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tearoom. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, cup of soup, side salad/and or cherry rhubarb, four pieces of fried chicken with mashed potatoes smothered and a choice between corn or cabbage. For dessert: choose between Boysenberry or Apple pie. We offer other dishes such as Roasted Chicken, Specialty Salads, Salmon, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

    My husband and I had dinner to celebrate his birthday - and it was an awesome dining experience! Our rib eye and filet mignon steaks were cooked to perfection. Kudos to the Chef! Our server Katy was the best and sweetest person. We look forward to go back to Black Angus in the near future.

    Food was delicious. We shared the strawberry fields salad, smokehouse burger and sweet potatoe waffle fries. We were seated across from the door leading out to the patio dining and it was a bit breezy and cold while eating our lunch. Otherwise it was a very nice lunch. Definitely will return again.

    Our server, Hunter, was exceptional—truly one of the best I’ve ever encountered. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and genuine effort to accommodate every request made the dining experience top-notch. As for the food at Claim Jumper, it hits the mark with generous portions at reasonable prices. Great service, hearty meals, and a welcoming atmosphere. I simply love this place!
