• Thai • Delano Las Vegas
Booked 125 times today
Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Through her set menus, our guests can dine and enjoy recipes from over 100 years in the Chutima family.

In March of 2013 renowned vegan Chef Tal Ronnen opened Crossroads at the corner of Melrose and Sweetzer in Los Angeles. We are proud to serve mouthwatering Mediterranean meals in a refined environment. Crossroads is not what people picture when they think of a vegan restaurant. Now in May 2022 we've brought that same flavor and quality cuisine to Las Vegas. With upscale décor and lighting, we continue our passion for plant based dining with a full bar and inspired cocktail program. There are no obvious vegan cues and most guests don't even make the connection that the menus is plant-based - they just know that the restaurant is comfortable and the food is satisfying and delicious. Crossroads is defined not by what's missing but by what it is.Crossroads is an intersection where vegans, flexitarians, omnivores and meat eaters can cross paths to share a delicious meal and a good time. We believe great food should be enjoyed by everyone!

From the moment we stepped inside, the extraordinarily attentive service set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The waitstaff, knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise, guided us through an extensive menu that boasts a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes. Their insightful wine pairings elevated our meal, showcasing an impressive selection that complemented our choices beautifully. My wife opted for the eggplant Parmesan, and I must say, it was the best she has ever experienced. The dish was a harmonious blend of flavors, with perfectly crisp layers of eggplant enveloped in a rich, savory marinara – a true homage to classic Italian cooking. As for my choice, the blackened ribeye was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender and bursting with flavor, accompanied by a side of sautéed spinach that rounded out the dish beautifully. To start our culinary journey, we indulged in exquisite Washington-based oysters, fresh and briny, setting the stage for the delightful courses that followed. Each bite was a reminder of Piero’s commitment to quality and authenticity, making the dining experience truly worth the trip off the Strip. As an added bonus, the ambiance seemed to buzz with excitement, and we were fortunate enough to spot George Kittle of the San Francisco Giants making an entrance with his girlfriend, a reminder that this cherished spot is not just a haven for food lovers but also a potential celebrity hotspot. Piero’s Italian Restaurant is a celebration of tradition, flavor, and impeccable service, making it a must-visit for any Las Vegas itinerary. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this culinary treasure offers an experience that transcends the glitz of the Strip.
