Best Family Style Restaurants in Southeast Portland

Le Pigeon is a cozy little restaurant serving up crazy good imaginative food, using many locally sourced elements. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant, as are the busy chefs in the open kitchen. When they had the time they were happy to answer all the questions that we, and other guests, peppered them with. A great experience for a special occasion!

It’s very noisy and had to ask to turn down music. But it’s the design that echos the noise. Food was delicious. Suggest the wings and the beef. Charred cabbage was yummy and spicy. The osso busco was excellent.

Wonderful meal and service with some of the best views in Portland!

This was our first time dining at Nostrana. We had tickets to a concert at Revolution Hall that evening and had decided to have a light dinner beforehand, so we made a reservation. We were politely greeted and shown to our table. We found the restaurant to be attractive and upscale, yet it felt comfortable and welcoming. Our server, Ben, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout our visit. Our drink and food orders all arrived within a reasonable time. We really enjoyed the radicchio salad -- it's a standout. We're fans of wood-fired pizza, and we were very pleased with the fresh flavors of the mozzarella cheese and the tomato sauce, as well as the delicious pizza crust. All in all, our visit was delightful. We look forward to returning to try other items on the menu.
