Knoledgeable people and unique, interesting food. We have come here a few times and it's consistently very good.

I've been eating at Basta since it first opened. For years it was my favorite restaurant in Boulder. As the years passed, the concept remained consistent - high quality ingredients, great wood fired pizza, and a small, focused menu. However, I may have eaten my last meal at Basta. First, the menu needs help - it seems unfocused and the prices have skyrocketed. Basta was never "cheap," but current prices are insane. Second, the food was good, but just not very memorable. Maybe I'm jaded after so many good meals? Third, the service was good, but just not very warm or personable. Everyone seemed to be going through the motions with little joy or genuine enthusiasm. There was a time when the waitstaff was incredible in every way - not these days. So, as much as I admire Kelly Whitaker and the work he's done with Basta and his other endeavors, I just won't be going back. For NY prices, I need a better experience.

Came for Mothers day brunch. It was yummy and had lots of options, I do wish they had a Ham and a fish option but the prime rib was great. Overall I thought the food was great.

As always, the food and service were very good. The crispy cod had such a yummy crust.

The meal and service were great! The only downside is all the construction that make getting to the restaurant a huge pain.
