   Intimate setting, food, and service were prepared with a lot of love, and it was evident to our palates. The lamb special was a tad undercook; the rainbow trout was delicious as well as the salad special, appetizers, and dessert.

   I went with some friends while on a girls trip to Estevan for our one special dinner out. The ambience was amazing. It was chilly outside and very cozy inside the restaurant, with a fire in the fireplace one friend had the poblano chili, not fried because she is gluten-free. We were thrilled for the accommodation, and she said it tasted amazing. Another friend ordered the quail and also was not disappointed high on the other hand or the ribeye steak and was disappointed in the preparation and flavor. Well, I ordered a medium rare it came cooked, medium or medium well it was very thin and tasted chard, lacking salt, but honestly I haven’t had a steak in so long that I didn’t really care and didn’t send it back. The wine selection was decent and while I usually enjoy a cab with a steak, I preferred the Tempranillo to the cab that I ordered first. The Tres leches cake is definitely worth a try. The service was really wonderful. It was a great setting for our laughs and deep conversation, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Estevan.

    Though the presentation was simple, the food was delicious, and the accompanying wine was wonderful. I felt it was a good value for being in downtown Santa Fe. The waitstaff were numerous and all were personable and attentive, including the Chef/Owner. I will eat here again and bring friends.

    The food was amazingly wonderful. I had the rib eye for restaurant week. The almond and chocolate cake was great. I wanted to lick the plate. The service was attentive and very informative and helpful. Thank you an awesome experience.

    Enjoyed the fixed price Restaurant Week options. The staff was amazing, which we know is difficult for restaurants to keep staff. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were flavorful and perfect size portion. Always love seeing Estevan at Saturday morning farmer’s market.

    Restaurant week: steak was very thin. Glaze was the same taste as the chicken. A few sliced potatoes, 1 long carrot, a piece of broccolini, 1 sm piece of cauliflower.

    We were celebrating our 40th anniversary weekend. We went to Estevan during restaurant week. The entire experience was wonderful. The trout that my husband had was the best weed ever tasted. My Caesar salad was beautifully presented and very flavorful. Our group tried all three desserts, and they were delicious!

    Last night we had a fabulous Santa Fe Restaurant Week dinner at Estevan — delicious three courses, three of us had the rib-eye entree which we loved, but the stand-out was the poblano chile stuffed with asadero cheese. Nicely curated wine list. Great service and had a lovely conversation with chef. Will definitely return for their regular menu!

    This was a visit during Restaurant Week. We were seated near the terrace door, which didn't close completely and created a cold draft over our table. The "ribeye" steak offered on the restaurant week menu was thin and relatively tough, but tasty--probably a sirloin steak. The food and service was good, but not great. Several tables commented on the wine prices (bottles starting at $65+). Not sure if that's normal or an effort to increase the margins with the restaurant week special meal prices. Overall, not memorable evening.

    We enjoyed smoked salmon, romaine salad, chicken enchiladas, Chile poblano, the arctic char special with the arugula and apple salad, plus 3 glasses of wine and lovely tres leches for dessert. We spent $380. Everyone was extremely happy with their food. Ambiance was warm and lovely if a little crowded. Straight-back chairs a bit too upright. Gracious chef. Excellent waiter.

    Gathered with dear friends and created a precious forever memory dining in front of the cozy hearth (with a real fire crackling!) on a cold winter's night and enjoyed every bite of Chef Estevan's talent paired with a buttery bottle of red. Thank you so much!

    We enjoyed the ambience of your restaurant and our server. Sean was delightful, knowledgeable and helpful. However, we thought that the appetizer that you gave us was pretty puny tasty but puny, the romaine salad was difficult to manage as it was served at the with the big leaves. However, the dressing was tasty. The relleno again puny because they did not have any filling in them. We all had the steak, and that was tasty, but there was no side along with it, such as a vegetable, or a potato, which would’ve been a nice addition given the cost. the deserts were fine but we had to wait a long time for our coffee to come and by then we were ready to leave the restaurant. So overall, I think you have a long way to go on offering this type of menu for New Year’s Eve at $90. Oh, and by the way they charged us $95 on our bill so we had to complain about that and have it removed. The explanation for that was that it was a computer glitch but I kind of wonder about that. I think it will be a quite while before we return to your restaurant.

    the food was all amazing! staff was accommodating of our children with kid drinks and an off menu meal for our 6 year old. chef came out to chat with kids. definitely on my list of places to dine when we return to Santa Fe

    My husband and I visited Santa Fe over the New Year holidays and ate at Estevan’s on December 28th. It did not disappoint. I had the Lamb Sirloin and my husband the Estevan’s Enchiladas. My meal was a special and was expensive at over $40.00. But it was cooked perfectly and so were vegetables.

    Outstanding menu and wine list, table site was outstanding, Sean was an outstanding server and Chef Estevan came to our table and was a delight to talk to! Food week prepared and presented, desserts were great and special soup from northern New Mexico was outstanding!

    A BIG disappointment. The place is little but the decoration doesn’t have ANY distinctive look, nothing special or traditional; when I read about the history of the owner I expected a place that represents, origins, passion, tradition, legacy it had NOTHING. Then at least I was expecting a delicious meal…. Food presentation was very ordinary. My husband ordered a Rib Eye (he is a steak connoisseur) and unfortunately the quality was very low and the cooks are not well trained to cook up steak. Charging $46 dollars for a super low quality steak is abusive. I ordered the trout which was okay but the rice seemed « parboiled rice » that you can buy on the supermarket. I ordered a house Sangria which was really good but the glass had 80% ice so I calculate the drink may have been 2.5 oz the most and paying $17 for a simple drink is abusive too. In addition to this our waiter kept forgetting stuff we ordered. However his attitude was good and I understand he was a bit unexperienced, but the fact that he didn’t pay enough attention didn’t help to the overall experience. In general the place looks like it was recently rented so maybe in the future it will look cooler, with unexperienced waiters and overpriced low quality food.
