In order to support the Santa Fe Farmers Market, we went to Estevan. They had a special pre fixe menu for the fundraising event that was absolutely delicious! Wine & beer we drank was lovely! A bit expensive but worth it!

We had the grand opportunity to dine at Estevan's and support a worthy local cause. A portion of our bill will be donated to the Santa Fe Farmer's Market Institute. Our chef is a big supporter of the Farmer's Market and buys a significant amount of produce from local growers. The food was delicious, I had a delightful filet of Arctic Char, much like Salmon, but even tastier. Others at the table enjoyed Lamb Chops, and one companion had Trout. Everyone at our table praised their dishes and bites were shared with joyful sounds. Desserts chosen were a Tres Leches Cake, a trio of exotic ice cream scoops, and I had a wonderful slice of Almond Cake that was scrumptious. Chef Estevan was attentive as were his waiters. He's as charming as he is talented in the kitchen.

It's been awhile since I've eaten at Estevan, so went back to my basics - pastel of guacamole and a cheese enchilada in red chili. Both were great. The attention to every detail, even the mundane, told the story, from how corn chips were arranged on the pastel plate, to the perfectly cooked and tasty calabacitas with the enchiladas - usually an overlooked and forlorn accompaniment. And the red chili was terrific.

Our waiter Aram was very knowledgeable about wine pairing with our foods. He was enjoyable throughout our meal. The others helping him with our service were attentive to our needs as well. The food was delicious. We ordered an appetizer salmon plate. There was plenty for the two of us to share. The salmon tasted very fresh. For enter we had the chard which was the chef’s special. It was cooked to perfection with a wonderful French inspired sauce. Congrats to all the staff and Chef!! We had a wonderful and relaxing time.

We went there for my brother’s birthday and it was a delightful experience. The Chef came out and talked with us which was a nice treat. The food was delicious, great service and a very fun and happy evening.

This was our second visit here. Fabulous food. The lamb with Chef’s signature Chile sauce was amazing. Chef came around to each table and visited with customers. He also appears to have few groups of local groups he sits with and shares a desert wine. Great experience and we will be back . . . 100 percent.

Service is amazing. The calamari was delicious but the bread we added so we could enjoy the lemon butter sauce from the calamari was very greasy and only 3 tiny circles of bread. The pasta in the bolognese was way over cooked and would be amazing if they used fresh pasta, it was mush and had no “bite”. Husband enjoyed the rainbow trout and fresh ice cream was delicious.

Birthday night out with family. We started at 5:30pm and was not busy. We were not rushed. Started with wine and salad. Lettuce & veggies very fresh. They did not have the wine we chose but substituted with another of quality and reduced the price a bit. Appetizer was calamari strips in a heavenly sauce (worth soaking up with bread). Entrées were trout, poblano pepper, and lamb sirloin. All were excellent. And chocolate cake and ice cream for the birthday girl. My 92 year old mother has a rolling walker. The staff was very kind and assisted her to the ramp and out to the street. This is a repeat visit for us and we will come back.

Chef Estevan’s food never disappoints! His sides are simply made & good for you! It’s an intimate little restaurant with excellent service! And, often, Chef Estevan will come by your table to check how everything was. Highly recommend eating there!👍🏻👍🏻

The service was very chaotic. 2 of our orders were not as ordered. The trout was wonderful. But a $19 baby lettuce salad where we only were served 3 lettuce leaves, really? The chef came out to circulate as it seemed he was checking what was going on.

We ended up enjoying our meal but the menu is very limited and it's quiet pricey. Entree sizes were reasonable but the salad we ordered was relatively small, simple and cost $19. It tasted delicious. Also, they only serve beer and wine.

We love the atmosphere at Estevan's restaurant. The food is amazing and offers a nice menu. We sat down around 6 pm, and it was still a bit too warm to sit outside on the balcony. But it is a lovely space.

This was our 3rd time at Estavan, and we always enjoy the food and atmosphere. We enjoyed talking to chef too. The street noise (loud cars) is the only drawback, but those are typically driving all around the square. The service was excellent and the whole experience was really nice.

Our first visit to Estevan was a wonderful surprise.. my sea bass was excellent and my wife’s pasta bolognese was the best she has had at a restaurant - and that includes NJ and Florence, Italy. The servers were polite and attentive, the owner/chef checked our table personally to ensure our satisfaction. He informed us that the excellent ice cream we had for dessert is handmade by an “old hippy from Taos.” Our patio seats were great. We will be back!

We loved our dinner at Estevan. Super good arugula salad for me, adobada ravioli for my wife -- to start -- followed by lamb chops for her and stuffed poblano for me. All excellent and very tasty, mild spice, not too much. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Lovely evening with excellent food. Wine based cocktails (sangria & margarita) were delicious. The chili rellano appetizer was our favorite. There were several specials offered but we ordered from the main menu. The lamb stew was a big hit as well as the pablano chili and Estevan's enchiladas - chicken with Christmas sauce. Desserts were good too but chocolate lava cake (took 15 minutes to heat) did not have any chocolate ozzing out which was disappointing given the price. Lovely setting in quiet upstairs corner of Hotel Chimayo. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.
