The food was good, but highly overpriced for what it is. It’s really not anything I couldn’t cook myself.
It's my second time to dine here and I wasn't disappointed. Service was impeccable , food and wine was outstanding. Exactly the dining experience I want when I go out. Loved the outside patio for warm nights. Will be back again.
Great outdoor/patio ambiance and great service. Perfect for a date night!
Wonderful. Best Chile in Santa Fe.
Atmosphere was great! Quiet and clean! Service/Staff were very efficient, pleasant and professional!
Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe! Great service from Israel, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful food and wine! We will be back!
We’ve been to Santa Fe many times, first time to Estevan’s and we came twice on this trip. The food was amazing, service was great, and loved the ambiance. Will be back again and again.
We love that Estevan’s uses local farmers food. I have been eating at his restaurant since 2000. Always fantastic!
We always go to Estevan when we’re in Santa Fe. A fine restaurant.
Portions are tiny and food is overpriced. Chef was walking around with mask under his nose the entire time. Catered to a group of his friends I take it as he was drinking with them. They never even told us the specials. Only overheard when they told them to his friends. $220 dinner for two and we felt rushed to order and finish. Will never be back
Great outdoor seating location, the lamb was the best ever and we always enjoy chatting with chef.
The wild boar was okay; the sauce a little over-thickened. I think it's a bit overpriced.
An excellent “special occasion” choice.
Great food and service. One of the best meals I have had in Santa Fe
Food was pretty good but service was poor and there were only about 5 tables of diners so no excuse. Owner/Executive Chef was there sitting in the dining area when we arrived, came to a table nearby and had a 20 minute conversation at the table, never greeted us or asked how things were. Had to ask multiple times to get refills of water and the wait staff would seem to disappear. This is not acceptable when paying $450 and had mandatory 20% gratuity as we were a party of 5. Not likely to return to Estevan on future trips to Santa Fe.
Food, wine, service, and atmosphere are excellent!
Estevan was great and very accommodating for our group of 6. The food was delicious! We sat on the front patio with 2 heaters. We had the space all to ourselves.
So glad we found this place! We were tired and hungry and this little, intimate gem was perfect! Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the cocktails and wine recommendations hit the nail on the head. Very accommodating and friendly staff.
A lovely experience from start to finish - five stars!
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Estevan. Loved the ambiance. Staff was friendly and we did not feel rushed. We were guided in our wine selection by the owner and lucky enough to enjoy a good conversation with him. Poblano entree was outstanding.
Great locations, and loved the ambiance. The service was great but we both ordered the ribeye and it was less than stellar. Dry, no flavor and did not have any resemblance to ribeye
Entrees were delicious, chat, chicken and veggies nicely done. Lava cake was over the top!
Wonderful experience. The menu is varied and inviting. Our selections were excellently prepared. The ambiance is delightful, white tablecloths, nice fireplace, background music appropriate, service prompt. Couldn’t ask for more. Chef Estevan really knows his business. John and Bev Howell 2/28/21
Met with long lost relatives and had an impeccable reunion and dinner at Estevan. I had the lamb chops and the other three in our party had the filet mormon. We followed this up with the molten lava cake. The restaurant is charming, the chef is warm and gracious and the food is to die for. Being new residents of New Mexico and living in Los Alamos, we have found our favorite restaurant at last. Can’t wait for our next meal there. Thank you, Chef, for a truly incredible evening and best of all? We really, really, really like our long-lost cousins. They are an incredible couple!
So glad Chef and crew are open for dine in again. As always, excellent food and service. We appreciated the corner table by the fire, as well. Thank you!
Chef greeted us enthusiastically, walked us to our table, recommended the perfect bottle of wine and wished us a beautiful dinner. The entire staff nailed it. Every appetizer, every entree, every new bottle of wine was perfect. Thank you Chef Estevan for an enlightening evening!
My second time here. First outing was exceptional, so I came back. I had the special - elk osso buco. It was tough and dry, still tasty, but not what I would expect here.
I will return. I had the tamalito appetizer and would recommend it to all.
Excellent food, wonderful menu selection, perfect service, friendly atmosphere, welcoming ambience. I’ll most certainly go back each times I’m in Santa Fe in the future!
They decided to close the restaurant early. We were told they were done for the day.
On the pricey side, but the food was excellent & the service outstanding.
Food was extraordinary- so delicious. Large selection of wine
I had the chicken breaded in Panko and lemon garlic oil & my husband got the lamb special we had ravioli for appetizer. Oh so good . The chef came out to greet us . Great efficient service
The owner greeted me and was kinda rude and asked me what I wanted... I said I had a reservation and he didn’t have a table for me so he wanted to put me at a table in the corner and was hot.... I left and went somewhere else....
Estevan is clearly struggling, and it shows in the owner’s strained greeting and presence in the front of the house, and in the quality of the dishes, which were formerly excellent. The thin pozole broth had a delicious meaty flavor, but the dish was almost entirely broth. The Chimayo red sauce, ordered on enchiladas, seemed thinned out. The downstairs bar is currently closed (b/c of COVID, we think), so you walk up past a dark, empty space, and you still can’t get a liquor drink upstairs. We’re holding out hope that Estevan will survive and return to its culinary glory.
We love this place. Food and service are always great. Ambience is wonderful and the location so close to the Plaza. We have eaten here many times and look forward to coming back.
Food very good. I know it’s not their fault, but there was a very loud table nearby that detracted from my dining experience. I couldn’t even hear what my husband was saying part of the time. The plants on the patio looked a little ragged for what one would expect for a top of the line restaurant
Outside, very pleasant. Great value on wines. Great service.
We made a reservation through Open Table for 4 on a Friday night. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a rude waiter who said even though they had our reservation they could not accommodate us. They were overbooked or just take an unlimited amount of reservations. He made no attempt to try and accommodate us. So we were forced to leave, given it was Covid and all dining is outside in Santa Fe, all other locations were already full. We had to go home and order in. If Open Table continues to offer Estevan as a dining option, you need to do a better job in insuring they honor your reservations. I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from this establishment.
We loved this place. Went twice before leaving Santa Fe. The chef was so nice and the food was delicious.
