We loved our dinner at Estevan. Super good arugula salad for me, adobada ravioli for my wife -- to start -- followed by lamb chops for her and stuffed poblano for me. All excellent and very tasty, mild spice, not too much. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Lovely evening with excellent food. Wine based cocktails (sangria & margarita) were delicious. The chili rellano appetizer was our favorite. There were several specials offered but we ordered from the main menu. The lamb stew was a big hit as well as the pablano chili and Estevan's enchiladas - chicken with Christmas sauce. Desserts were good too but chocolate lava cake (took 15 minutes to heat) did not have any chocolate ozzing out which was disappointing given the price. Lovely setting in quiet upstairs corner of Hotel Chimayo. Overall, we enjoyed the experience.

Estevan is a small intimate place that is perfect for a romantic occasion. We were surprised to learn that they did not have a full bar, but the wine choices were plentiful. I recommend the pastel de guacamole appetizer and the trout entree.

Fine but not great. Way overpriced. Trout was floating in butter. No bread for the table which is not great when entree prices are 30 to 45. Sort of a ripoff.

Service was great. The lamb stew was very good. The sirloin of lamb was tough, with gristles.The standard chocolate mousse cake was adequate but not anything outstanding. The vegetable served the sirloin of lamb were minimal but good.

We enjoyed our dinner. We love the ambiance of this cozy restaurant and the crackling fireplace. Service was excellent. The food was well prepared. However I wish they had more choices and more inventive food. The sides are very ordinary. Roasted potatoes. Run of the mill veggies. I would like to see a more inventive and interesting menu. Prices were very high for what we ordered.

I went with some friends while on a girls trip to Estevan for our one special dinner out. The ambience was amazing. It was chilly outside and very cozy inside the restaurant, with a fire in the fireplace one friend had the poblano chili, not fried because she is gluten-free. We were thrilled for the accommodation, and she said it tasted amazing. Another friend ordered the quail and also was not disappointed high on the other hand or the ribeye steak and was disappointed in the preparation and flavor. Well, I ordered a medium rare it came cooked, medium or medium well it was very thin and tasted chard, lacking salt, but honestly I haven’t had a steak in so long that I didn’t really care and didn’t send it back. The wine selection was decent and while I usually enjoy a cab with a steak, I preferred the Tempranillo to the cab that I ordered first. The Tres leches cake is definitely worth a try. The service was really wonderful. It was a great setting for our laughs and deep conversation, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Estevan.

Though the presentation was simple, the food was delicious, and the accompanying wine was wonderful. I felt it was a good value for being in downtown Santa Fe. The waitstaff were numerous and all were personable and attentive, including the Chef/Owner. I will eat here again and bring friends.

Enjoyed the fixed price Restaurant Week options. The staff was amazing, which we know is difficult for restaurants to keep staff. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were flavorful and perfect size portion. Always love seeing Estevan at Saturday morning farmer’s market.

We were celebrating our 40th anniversary weekend. We went to Estevan during restaurant week. The entire experience was wonderful. The trout that my husband had was the best weed ever tasted. My Caesar salad was beautifully presented and very flavorful. Our group tried all three desserts, and they were delicious!
