Seasonal greens sourced from the Farmers Market and tossed in a vinaigrette dressing
Trout dipped in a mild organic corn meal, pan-fried with lemon, garlic, butter, and parsley. Served with sauteed spinach and potatoes
Carne Adobada Ravioli
Ravioli filled with chimayo Red Chile marinated pork and served with a garlic red chile cream sauce
Worse meal I have ever had in Santa Fe. Also, pretty bad service. Table was in a hallway and the waiter only checked back with us once before we could taste our food. Had the trout and it was full of bones and had no taste- just fried! Coffee cold and no waiter could be found for quite a while to ask for it to be heated. When finally heated. It had no taste whatsoever! I will never go back! And, it wasn’t cheap! Total disappointment.
Complaining about coffee? Please never come back.
Husband’s order screwed up x 2- waiter tried to make it right. My stew was really a weak soup/ minimal protein and watery. Restaurant did not live up to expectations
We had a great time at Estevan. The food was delicious, we had Arctic Char (special) and Pasta Bolognese. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, quiet enough to hear your dining partner(s), and warm and inviting. The service was excellent.
We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food has become. Delicious sauces and perfectly cooked. What is keeping it from 5 stars, is as the prices are up, the size of the proportions were a little small.
The food was outstanding ,we each had the specials .I have had their lamb before and it last night was great. My husband had an argula salad which he loved and he also had goats milk flan ,which he said was one of the best
Great food and service. We really enjoyed dining there. It was a little tricky to find (upstairs through hotel).
Fantastic atmosphere, food, and staff! Will definitely return the next time we are in Santa Fe
Excellent food and excellent service - wonderful evening on a cold Santa Fe night seated next to a delightful fire in the main dining room.
Dinner at Estevan was the highlight of our 4-day trip in Santa Fe. Chef Estevan visited with the four of us and made recommendations for our salad (Caesar salad made with romaine he picked that morning at Farmers' Market), entree': medallions of lamb sirloin, and a wine pairing: 2015 Belle Pente Vineyard Cabernet. All were delicious with excellent presentation and even better taste! We enjoyed dessert: a slice of almond cake, molten chocolate cakes, and cheese cake slice, along with a tasting of Lustau East India Solera Sherry. It was a delightful, delicious evening. We will definitely dine at Estevan on our next trip to Santa Fe.
Food was competent but this is definitely not at the gourmet level. Ambiance was warm but lacked elegance.
The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for and the food was very good although I thought the price a little high. I was very surprised that none of the staff were wearing masks since there is an indoor mask mandate and for some diners, that can be a deal breaker.
Everything at Estevan‘s was a knock out of the park! We started with the Carne Adobada Ravioli and the Red Cabbage Salad. Both were incredibly unique and wonderfully delicious — I would strongly recommend ordering these dishes. We then ordered the Shepherds Lamb Stew and the special entree, the Arctic Char. The lamb stew was perfect for a chilly evening served with local lamb and a hearty broth and the char was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of sauce. Fresh farmers market vegetables, too! Our server was Daniel and he was very professional, explained the specials meticulously, and did not spill a single drop of the Stoller Reserve Pinot Noir we had ordered — which I would also highly recommend. We were tucked away in a private alcove which was romantic and cozy. All in all we would highly recommend Estevans and I cannot wait to return!
Wonderful evening for family to gather with delicious food, drinks, and desserts!
Great restaurant! The service was amazing! All their ingredients were organic and the food was perfect!
Prompt and friendly service, delicious food. Save room for the lava cake!
When we visit Santa Fe dinner at Estevan’s always a highlight of the trip. The menu is Eclectic with a verity of great options.
The only thing we would have preferred is the availability of hard alcohol. Great food and service. Nice that Estevan came to the table.
Quite expensive for mediocre food and small portions. Dining room was lovely and wait staff was very friendly and efficient however, it was surprising that the food was delivered to the table so quickly (<20 min)....not quite fast food but close. Our second visit. Won't return and do not recommend. Also concerning is that none of the staff was wearing a mask.
Everything was Excellent!
Always excellent- very dependable
For 20 years one of S Fe’s finest chefs
For the price I felt the portions were small. Food was good however We would have liked larger portion. Salad very small.
Estevan was a great place to celebrate a birthday! Wine list was great. Highly recommend the ribeye steaks! And we loved that the chef came by our table for a visit!
I couldn't imagine a more perfect dining experience. The chef's table with Estevan was intimate, full of surprises and the 7-course tasting menu was exquisite. Every dish was delivered by the chef and his culinary passion was expressed in flavor, design and accentuated by his warm and wonderful personality. Paired wine and reserve sherry only added to the memorable evening. Our dining party can't stop raving about the night, and special thanks to Aram, for his dedication to guests and staff.
Great ambiance. Dinner on the balcony overlooking Washington Av at sundown. Wonderful!!!
Great place to eat a romantic dinner, especially if you can sit on the outdoor deck. Food and service was good. The only issue was early on the bar below had the bass turned up high and it was a bit of a nuisance. Would eat there again.
Tasty and inventive food with great service.
Great location, wonderful food & great service. Would definitely recommend.
Dining at Estevan’s is a wonderful experience for the taste buds. He communicates with nature on the choices he puts on the plate and then you get to feel that connection on you own as you dine. Love what Estevan does and can’t wait until next time!
First time diners at Estevan. I chose the Iberian “pork chops” and was very pleased. My husband’s stuffed chiles were surprisingly mild. The dessert flan was probably our favorite course. Nice wine list, impressive ambiance and very attentive service.
Estevan was terrific as usual. The Jerez vinaigrette on the bibb salad was very nice: light and almost subtle. The warm, comforting Estevan enchiladas were perfect for the chilly evening.
Was a pleasant surprise our first time dining there
Server asked "what do you want?" then took our appetizer order which arrived in 10 minutes followed by our entree 10 minutes after that. Calamari was the smallest serving I've ever had, approximately 8 bites for $17. Our 2 entrees were expensive and not particularly very good. Overall, rushed and uninspired service, mediocre food at best. Would not recommend.
I would never, ever recommend this restaurant. My wife and I went there to celebrate a special occasion at what the restaurant clearly views itself as an upscale restaurant. It is not! Consider: 1. They did not have the low priced $55 bottle of wine we ordered, 2. They have a very limited menu yet the one choice I ordered was not available as described on the menu, 3. My wife's fish was filled with bones, dangerously so, 4. My second choice, enchiladas were indicated to be cheese which could have meat added with an extra price: the meat was in the enchiladas but no cheese, 5. three small pieces of bread were served with the salad we shared: "just fine" as obviously they could not afford a 4th piece of bread for a small salad costing about $17-18, 6. The little ambience the restaurant offers was destroyed by the staff gathering at the bar speaking loudly and one individual picking his teeth. While they "comp'd" us for part of the meal, the special occasion was ruined by this lousy restaurant. Oh, FYI the manager was not there but would not answer a call placed so that we could explain our dissatisfaction with his restaurant! I do not recommend supporting this restaurant with your participation and "good luck" if you do!! Oh the waiter was the only bright spot in the whole episode but he could not make up for the restaurant's incompetence!
Fantastic place! Great food, nice ambiance!
Food was good, portions small for price. Our group could not sit together but another group of same size was allowed. Disappointed.
Apps and dessert were solid but entrée, Arctic char was unconventional with bland veggies.
Best New Mexico authentic cooking in southwest .
We arrived at 7:15. We were advised kitchen closes at 8:20 after we enjoyed a glass of wine and appetizers. Wished we knew about kitchen closing when we made our reservation. We felt rushed when entrees arrived before we finished our salads. No coffee was offered with desserts and the hot lava cake dessert was not available due to kitchen closing. We were last to leave at 9 pm and had to find someone to pay our bill as our server was leaving. She was efficient, warm and attentive, however, while she served our table. Definitely make earlier reservations if you want a leisurely dinner. Table server knew we were celebrating an 80th bd and there was nothing done to acknowledge the event we were celebrating…like a candle in the dessert at least. The container given for the left over lamb stew entree (good) was not water tight- an inappropriate container with cardboard lid that seals with aluminum foil - and leaked. All of the above aside, the food was good and well prepared but no dish was rave worthy. Definitely skip the Romaine salad with poached egg unless you like cold & watery poached egg. Desserts were uninspired but well executed. In short, if you want a pleasant evening and a good enough dinner, the balcony patio at Estevan will be perfect. Estevan greeted us graciously on arrival and as we were leaving. There is nothing stuffy or pretentious about the place. Despite the minor shortcomings, we would go back albeit with reduced expectations.
Great place with good ambiance. Food was innovative and delicious. No cocktail service was drawback for us. Bring your wallet, very pricey.
very pleasant experience which was perfect after a day of running around. staff was very friendly and took great care of us. thank you
