Excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend
We have a nice lunch, the food was great the atmosphere perfect.
We had a fantastic dinner. Salmon and bone in rib eye were excellent. We will be back.
Normally have a great meal here but this time my steak was overcooked and lobster was undercooked. Found a rubber band in my side dish. Was offered a free desert but that fell short for me. When I pay $100 for a meal, it should be perfect.
The food was incredible, I would go again just for the chocolate cake.
Excellent experience and service. Food is always great!
Keep up the great work and good customer service! The hostess, waitress, and chef did an excellent job.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! BEST STEAKHOUSE WEVE EVER BEEN TO!
My husband and I went to Elways to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We take our family there every Christmas for dinner and we are never disappointed.
The food is outstanding and the service is great.
Our favorite downtown restaurant.
There was no one dining in this large room. We were there for an hour and a half for brunch. Service was painfully slow. Food was nothing compared to the Cherry Creek location that we enjoyed in the past. Very expensive! It felt like a Hotel vibe.
We were a party of 6 and each of us enjoyed our food. The service on the other hand, lacked tremendously. We were greeted only after being seated for nearly 15 mins. Once a server came to our table, they did not give a proper greeting and appeared annoyed much of the night. To top it off, the bartender thought it was appropriate to quiz a member of our party about the contents of the drink he was ordering after he sent it back for being poorly made. Overall, the food was fine, the decor was dated, and the service lacked tremendously. I would not recommend for a fine dining experience if you're visiting Denver for a short time.
Elways was a great way to have dinner at the Ritz. Big portions as you would expect from a steakhouse with some hidden gems. The lamb appetizer was amazing and my buffalo ribeye was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The asparagus was average and the desserts were very tasty with the warm baked to order chocolate chip cookies a hit. Service was friendly and quick.
Our server was as great! Super friendly and very attentive. This was my first time and I really enjoyed my meal! Definitely will be back!
Food was great - but the staff were over-the-top.
Attentive but not annoying
Thoughtful with interruptions When necessary
Faculty was very clean
Bartender was outstanding
But most of all our waiter was world class!
Great salmon, great steaks
The food was excellent
Not my normal review but not a normal dining experience -
These guys and gals are the super bowl team of high end restaurants - from the kitchen to the those helping customers
First I would like to say , this restaurant was highly recommended through the online reviews. So when I had to pay a $25 hold for our reservation I was expecting something a bit more impressive. Appetizers we ordered tuna tartar it was fantastic, main course we both ordered salmon well done. Well done it was definitely not, still very pink and not flaky at all, the shrimp were tasteless and I could tell they were previously frozen. A fire alarm went off while we were dining, they said it was one of the residents. The bread was very fresh, the asparagus was delicious. Definitely glad we went but the salmon was very disappointing. The strawberry cheesecake was a must with the delicious pecan crust.
Service is fine. Food and drinks are mediocre, at best. Far better dining choices in the area at this price point or less.
Went there for my wife's birthday. Online menu showed Lobster. We were told by the waitperson they did not have any. They were having a hard time getting it. Food was decent but not great. The $10.00 potato was hard and not done. I don't mind spending $200.00 on a dinner if it's worth it, but this was not one of those times. We probably will not go back.
Menu was limited. I expected more memorabilia on Elway since he used his name. I have been to Shulas and Michael Jordan’s which was fantastic. The food was average
We visited Elway's while on vacation in Denver. The service was fantastic but the food was underwhelming. We had much better food at other places in the city for half the price.
Put us at a dark table in the back of the bar. My burger was way undercooked and it took awhile for a refire. I couldn’t eat it at the restaurant because our whole lunch took over an hour. Terry deemed disinterested in the problem though the burger was comped which I appreciated. The waiter that helped us the most in our dark corner wasn’t even ours. Wish I’d have gotten his name. Sorry. He kind of saved it from disaster by keeping an eye on us.
I know terry is usually a pretty good server so he’s forgiven of course.
My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary am here at Elway’s. We looked over the menu prior to our arrival and decided on the short rib and the salmon. Unfortunately, we were told they were out of the Short rib. After explaining our desire to our waiter, he came back with great news. They were able to locate a special order for us. This made our special night even more memorable. The food was and service were top tier. We will definitely return.
great way to celebrate a birthday. thank you so much for making it special.
Not impressed with the service or ambiance. The food was great, but the ambiance lacked that spark that you would expect out of a $400 meal, e.g. a lack of memorabilia of Elway or the Broncos.
The food and the service were excellent. I would definitely recommend.
We took the whole family and 4 out 4 thought it was an excellent meal.
An excellent Mother’s Day dinner.
It took 45 minutes for our order to be taken, and an additional 45 minutes to get our food. If it were a full room, i would let it go a bit. It appeared that all the tables around us were experiencing the same thing., but there really weren’t that many tables. The “Seafood Tower” was disappointing. I’ve had much better for close to the $69 price. Other than the very sparse “seafood tower” the food was very good. Steaks were cooked very well and those who did not have steaks really enjoyed their meal. Not sure we would have ordered the Mimosa for $50 had we known the price. Dom Perignon is not something we would generally purchase, especially in a Mimosa. The staff was very friendly.
Wow! In the worst way, I have no idea why this place has such high rating it was just awful. This restaurant is the absolute definition of mediocre, however I will give the staff credit they were a 10 but the food was so terrible I would never go back. If I were Ritz Carlton I would be embarrassed to have this restaurant associated with my name.
Great service and an amazing dinner! Food was fantastic and you never have a wait fir something you need they take great care of you there!!
Love Always - always go eery time in Denver - took a party there Friday night - food was great! Drinks were terrible - first cosmopolitan ok - second sent back, third we just dealt with - it is beyond me that this caliber of restaurant can't make the most basic cocktail - the waiter was average at best.
Made reservations and seated us immediately. Service was great. Did not have to wait long for our food. We were able to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.
Monica, truly Sommelier, is fantastic. She knows her wines and can speak to the differences by year and region.
Service is always outstanding at Elway's, with a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
Outstanding food and service and a beautiful atmosphere. We enjoy the cocktails on our dinners were all delicious. Great place for business or any special night out
Fantastic evening! Service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Especially the lamb fondue starter... I will dream about that dish!
Steak was dry and not well seasoned. The salmon was cooked well and the best thing we got. Server was very friendly.
This is my third time at an Elway’s. I have been to the downtown location twice now and the airport once. My second visit to the downtown location was quite disappointing for my father and I. We made reservations weeks out and were seated in a far corner in big chairs, not even a booth or real table. Meanwhile, the restaurant wasn’t even half full. We ordered the calamari for a starter and was not informed that half of the dish included fried green olives (dumpling style). Drinks were good, but the bread that was requested came out to be basic dinner rolls, meanwhile we saw other tables receiving an assortment of artisan breads. My file was excellent and the lobster Mac and cheese side was delcious. My father ordered a strip which was rubbed in something strange. The service was okay, however our server was very snappy. I understand that restaurants are struggling right now given they are coming back from the pandemic, but for the price of this place and the name, it was disappointing this go around. I’ll try the airport one for breakfast, and hopefully that goes well.
Our waiter was phenomenal. He individually guided our navigation of the menu so we all had wonderful meals.
The food and our server were absolutely amazing. Delicious food and drinks. Thank you for an awesome experience.
If I could have given less I would have
Amazing date night spot so romantic great service incredible bread
