Covid has impacted service.
First time ever eating at a nice restaurant in the Denver area and it was well worth it. Every dish we ordered was truly incredible. We ordered the lamb chop fondue, bone-in rib eye, two lobster tails, side of mushrooms, ding dong, warm cookie and ice cream! Take my word for it that you will love every dish they serve.
Besides the incredible food was the incredible staff. They were very polite, timely, and full of great recommendations. If you’re in the Denver area, you have to check this place out. You will NOT be disappointed.
I've been to a lot of steakhouses and this one is excellent. My review is going to be mainly on the food. The restaurant itself was cool but nothing spectacular. I've been in nicer restaurants but this is at the Ritz, so... anyway, I ordered the 16oz ribeye, medium (I like medium rare, but I know steakhouses so I go one up on how I eat steak.) This zteak came put perfectly med rare! Bingo, I can't say enough about the steak. It was juicy, but not overly juicy. Still enough to dip your steak into. The seasoning was amazing and I'm super happy they gave us a can of the way out. Top 3 steaks I've ever had, 1 of which being my own cooked steak. Prices were average for an upscale steakhouse. Well worth it. Fantastic steak and I hoped for nothing less at a steakhouse. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Denver!
The food is over priced. They didn’t serve any bread. It was a special birthday and even though I requested a birthday dessert, done was ever served. The birthday celebration was never mentioned. The wine is extremely overpriced. I would not go back!
excellent service from all staff. did not disappoint!
The service was superb and the food was so well portioned and prepared, we will be back again.
Fantastic experience especially given the crazy COVID world
We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday. Leslie our waitress was amazing! She made her feel very special. Also Monica was extremely helpful with the champagne for myself 🙃. Can’t wait for the 2009 Dom perignon soon. Also Josephine was very sweet. She was able to make us feel at ease and she took some amazing photos of my daughter and I. Thanks so much !!!
We had a great time celebrating our 28th anniversary! Food was great and our server was excellent!
First of all let me say thank you. Me and my wife spent our 22nd anniversary week in Denver. Had I known the Outstanding service I received I would’ve chose them first. We dined in two other establishments after dining here. Expecting the same level of service being a fine dining establishment. They went out of their way to making our night feel special while we celebrated the evening. Everything was exceptional. The manager even came by our table to make sure everything was going smoothly. The night ended with a delicious warm butter cake that I had to come home and find the recipe for. Next time I visit Denver this will be the only establishment I choose for fine dining.
We were greeted at the door and seated right away. Server was very nice and respectful, however it was not a busy restaurant and quite a few items were forgotten and at a restaurant where we paid $234 for dinner for 2 people should be expected - we we had to ask for silverware after the salad course was served, and again after the steak course was served. I asked for a medium rare steak, was served medium well. I ordered coffee after dinner and was served a see through luke warm brown liquid, didn’t taste like coffee either. The coffee is the only thing I brought up to the server, she was very nice about it and removed it off the bill.
If you want a high quality dining experience at a high end restaurant go yo Guard and Grace. Elways has lost its touch, this used to be a wonderful restaurant.
We understand that these are trying times and chose to ignore the service quality and tipped 20% to respect the server.
If you want a very nice steak dinner in a restaurant that takes care of the small details of elegant dining, this is the place.
Very memorable dining experience for our last night in Denver.
We were in Denver for my wife's birthday and this was an excellent experience.
Food and service are always good at Elways. The kitchen seemed to have issues that night with my steak's requested doneness and also getting us bread and the fabulous pretzel rolls.
Decaffeinated coffee with dessert was served at room temperature, waiter looked frazzled so I let it go.
Pricing for ala cart is a little pricy. Overall great experience
Everything was great - Service, ambience & of course food was fantastic!
Went here for our anniversary dinner. Food was really good. Service was adequate. Our server looked to take a 10 or so top at the same time we were seated which I understand there is only so much you can do about that and she was doing her best. I will say I do not spend 60 bucks on a steak very often and this was a very good steak but cant put it in the worth 60 bucks category like I have had at a couple other restaurants in the area but still really good food. We had a good time and I would certainly recommend this if you are throwing caution to the wind financially for one evening to enjoy yourselves.
Food was cold
Very disappointed in our experience
Amazing food and service! Steak was the best and so was our waitress!
Generally a very good place to go for a nice dinner for two. The steak and seafood were good, but not the best we've had. The Caesar salad was large and a bit over dressed, yet tasty. Everything was cooked as ordered, though the Halibut filet could have come off of the grill a minute or two sooner. It depends on what you like I suppose. The waitress was very nice, helpful, and attentive. They had an extensive wine selection, though like most upscale restaurants, way over priced. All things considered, we liked it.
When I'm paying $60 for my steak, I shouldn't have to send it back, twice. Makes for a bad table experience when everyone is enjoying their food and you guys are fiddling over my steak in the back. Get it together!
It was a great meal. The food was excellent (rib eye paired with the fries). The hostess was polite and had our table ready to go. The server was very courteous and knew the different drink options. It was a perfect dining experience.
Great service, great food and great atmosphere - Overall excellent experience
Service was sub-par but food was great. Noise was a little overwhelming at times for a nice steak house.
I had my 40th brithday dinner here and it was excellent. Food and service were both amazing!
AMAZZZZZZZZZZIIIIINNNNNGGGGG !!!!! From the time we entered till the time we walked out the door everything was just beyond our expectations! Traveling from a different city you never really know what to expect when it comes to the service, food and overall atmosphere but ELWAYS get 5 stars I wish I could give more. Our waitress Brittney was spectacular , she made sure we had everything we need and more. Brittney is one of the best waitress I have had in my life time. Brittney smile and overall VIBE made our dinner so much better, she was so sweet and graceful. The scenery of the restaurant, the way everything is designed again AMAZING. I would definitely recommend ELWAYS for any and everyone. Yes, are the prices a little bit expensive but everyone deserves to treat themselves or be treated. ELways is the place to do it, money well spent.
Thank you Elways for your service during this pandemic/crazy time.
Amazing service and great food! Will definitely return
The best dining experience we ever had! The food was awesome like even awesome is an understatement and the service was beyond awesome as well! I gave the biggest tip I have ever given in my life, Scott you are an artist at your job!
We were worried as we've had the WORST service everywhere lately, but we chose Elways hoping for the best, and we weren't disappointed! Our server, Tommy, and the sommelier, Monica, were so knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
My husband had a great birthday dinner! Thank you for the wonderful service.
Never coming back again! This has to be one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. We reserved a patio table and we were seated basically in the driveway of the hotel next door. It was dark, cold and the street noise was terrible. We were about to walk out when the hostess came and moved us inside to the bar and sat us in a booth at a small table. The grilled artichokes were burnt, and our entrees were served cold. The steak my wife ordered had a block of frozen blue cheese butter that I guess was intended to melt but at the end of the meal it was still a chunk of frozen blue cheese. My piece of halibut was cold and the tuna wasn’t cooked properly. The saving grace was our server Sam. She was very nice and offered several times to fix things. This is suppose to be a high end restaurant and it was anything but with the exception of the price of the meal. Never Again. Never!
our server Anna made it a very special night for myself snd my wife. i had a trip to the e.r. last week and wanted to spoil her and she left feeling that way and we truly appreciate the outstanding service and attention that Anna gave us throughout our dining experience.
I think Elways is like the Broncos right now. Overrated and in reality mediocre
Everything was fantastic from service to food!
First time eating at Elways. The outside seating was okay, nothing fancy, but that's not a bad thing. What counts to me is the food. The steak was excellent; tender and great flavor! The salad and baked potato were tasty as well. Our server was attentive and personable. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back.
It was a great evening to spend celebrating my anniversary!
Our server was excellent
The steak seasoning was outstanding. But the horseradish in the shrimp cocktail sauce was more than my wife could stand: Small thing though. We will definitely go back!
