Lamb fondue is the only way to go. And their pretzels are some of the best soft pretzels out there
Right after we arrived, the fire alarm went off. A very annoying, loud sound that continued for 20-30 minutes. It made any communication difficult and was tough on the ears. It was too bad because we love coming downtown and eating at Elway's. As usual the food and service were excellent.
My husband and I went there for lunch. It was ok but they had a limited menu.
We both asked for filet mignon medium. It came out well done. Not a great experience considering how much we
paid for the meal. I don’t think we will go there again for lunch.
Everything was great!
There are a lot of steakhouses in Denver. I brought two out of town friends to Elway's because I recall their filet to be melt in your mouth and outstanding and it's unique to Denver. We were all disappointed with out steaks. They were average at best. They were a bit charred on the outside and really just average and more sirloin than filet quality. For $50 per steak I wish I would have gone to Guard and Grace or Ruth Chris' Steakhouse. I won't be returning. Service was fine, not impeccable. Checked on us the minute we got our steaks to make sure they were cooked properly and never checked back to ensure everything tasted good. There are far too many restaurants in Denver (and steakhouses) to pay over $200 and be unsatisfied. Not sure the quality of meat that Elway's is purchasing is what it used to be.
A very nice time was had! Delicious food!
It was good but just not the same experience as the Elway’s Cherry Creek. Because this restaurant is in a hotel it feels more like a hotel lobby restaurant than the fine dining ambiance of Elway’s or other classy fine dining areas in the area. Chairs were dated and uncomfortable. All of the food seemed less quality than other fine dining restaurants and seemed very high production and like food was sitting under a heat lamp before being delivered out. Servers seemed rushed but very attentive to our drink refills which was nice.
I was in town with friends for a ski trip. The service, food, and atmosphere were all perfect. Our waiter was very attentive. In addition to providing great service, he also gave us a list of places to visit while we were in town.
Really disappointing! We went to celebrate my son's birthday and I will say that the hostess and waitstaff were very nice. It was not crowded but we waited along time for our dinner. Most of the steaks were overcooked. We sent one back and then waited almost 30 minutes for them to bring another one out. That was also over cooked. Its hard to pay almost $50 for a piece of meat that was ruined. The sides were less than and also overcooked. #kitchenfailure
Superb in every way. Great guidance on the menu and the wine.
The waitress was much to pushy and very hard to understand because she spoke too fast and mumbled. The food was very bland, only the dessert was very good.
Excellent Atmosphere and good but expensive wine list
We order the lamb chop fondue as a starter and it was fantastic
However the artichokes were terrible hard impossible to chew
The prime Rib eye was overcook and a little bit dry
Honesty you can find more value for your money en other steakhouses
Scott made the birthday celebration absolutely amazing!! We will be back with friends and family.
Everything was delicious! Especially the lamb chop and green chili cheese fondue!
Great decor and ambiance but food is ok. Huge mark up on wine.
The price of Elways, at least the night we were there, was not congruent with the product served. Several items were overcooked and some were dry. The food was just not at a high level. There are other high end steakhouses doing a much better job. Perhaps it was just an off night for them but we will not be returning.
Steak was okay, nothing special, had the 7x Wagu. The Au gratin potatoes where too dry and lacked depth of flavor. The creamed spinach was undercooked and lacked flavor as well. Save your money for someplace better.
We had brunch at Elway's on New Year's day. We made reservations - but discovered that wasn't necessary - the restaurant was not busy. It was my mom's 82nd birthday, and our server (Anette - who was excellent) took special notice and made the day extra special for us! The food was terrific. the ambiance was a bit disappointing. When we arrived, there were only about ten other guests. We also realized that the background music was not turned on until about halfway through breakfast. By the time we left, however, the restaurant had filled and the initial quietness had given way to a much more lively atmosphere.
Excelente comida solo por ser fin de año y lleno el restaurante el servicio fue muy lento
Honestly, the best steak and food I've had in years. Expensive, but worth it, especially for special occasions.
Excellent food preparation, service was very good. Would recommend to friends and family.
Food was prepared perfectly and ambiance was perfect.
Good steak but a little over priced.
Pre game brunch. Buffet lacking omelet bar and accompaniments like butter, cheese etc that have been there in the past. Food quality still very good
Nice ambiance, great service
Steak was great. Wine was great. Sides were bland. Desert menu is weak. Ambiance is not what you’d expect for a $400 dinner.
Host couldn’t find reservations and had to ask me my name twice. Then tried to seat up in the bar. The whole staff was walking around frowning, like they didn’t want to be there. The food was good steak house fair but not very hot. We had dinner for two each had 1 drink a salad a steak and 1 side each, the cost $250 including a 20% tip for that kind of money I would expect better I could I had the same experience Texas roadhouse and saved myself 200 bucks.
Everything was wonderful! Not only was our server amazing but every staff that came by was helpful and kind. We came for our anniversary dinner. So fun and special!
Excellent Food and Service. The décor seems a bit outdated.
Steaks were amazing..best bison ribeye we’ve ever had!.
Very disappointed it didn’t rise to the ELWAY’S level I have come to expect.
There are better places in Denver that outshine Elway’s.
Worst steak ever!
Service, good and drinks are always top notch. Staff is very knowledgeable on the menu selections. Excellent experience!
Food is good, but it's not fantastic. And at the price they're charging it should be.
It was very loud. You could not hear the person sitting across from you. My sons steak was undercooked as was the asparagus. They delivered our sides to the wrong table. Once they realized the mistake they removed our sides from the wrong table and delivered them to our table. Which is against food handling protocol I’m pretty sure! Our waitress was nice and attentive, we complained that my sons steak was rare and she said it wasn’t
Overpriced wine and steaks, appetizers are amazing but same as wine and steaks, the whole menu is overpriced for the quality of the food.
Awesome experience here. Our waitress was awesome couldn’t have asked for better night!
Great food and amazing service. The only downside was that we were sat right next to a large and rather loud party. Also, having to pay for each side seems overly expensive.
The steaks we ordered were delicious and cooked to perfection.
The server also accommodated our friends dietary needs e.g. no gluten,
no dairy, no seeds...
