It was great. Anne the server along with her team were great.
This is a go-to restaurant for entertaining client and staff lunches. The restaurant staff understands work lunch hour time constraints and are prompt with taking orders, serving the food, and presenting the bill. Plus, the food's great and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for?
The staff took excellent care of us throughout our visit. Best visit to Elway's that I've had.
It was great. Our Server was Great. The young man that bussed our table was Awesome. He is from Georgia and only 19. He was so polite and professional. He is not the normal 19 yr old kid. He is going places. He needs to be groomed and promoted in your restaurant. I am a entrepreneur and look for good people in my industry, all the time. This Young Man is going places. If you don’t take care of him. I will recruit him into my industry. U just don’t see quality in the youth at that age. I wish I knew his name
Part of the issue was not the fault of the establishment, there was a fire alarm. But the staff handled it poorly, they should have addressed the issue earlier. Even after the alarm stopped it took forever to get our food and it was cold. Been usually have a great meal at Elways, this has me thinking of other options. To make matters worse I was meeting the future in-laws for the first time, so I was hoping to hit it out of the park with the venue choice. Fail.
This place is great. Spent my birthday there with my girlfriend. Service great, drinks strong, tasty food and Thursday night football! Plus my bread pudding cake was bomb and complimented! The Espresso was a great way to end the experience. Lastly the fire place is real cozy location to sit near.
We go to Elway's every time we are in Denver, their bone-in filet is the best I have ever had! Sometimes we make a special trip to Denver just to have it, highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
It was wonderful as usual, helped us celebrate our anniversary.
The service was great for respectful and understanding of our opinion on the food...
Potatoes we're not done, steak outside was burnt when medium temperature was requested, and lobster Alfredo was like ramen noodles with over cooked lobster...so for the extremely high prices and la carte menu we can not recommend their food, but Service was good!
Terrible service, 2 of 4 meals were sent back and then were overcooked, mgmt wasn't concerned.
Unfortunately we chose the brunch buffet this morning. Service was poor at best. We had to remove our own soiled plates because the busboy just walked around the restaurant and didn't do anything. Food in the chafers might have been good, however, all of it was cold. I wonder what the health department would think of food that isn't maintained at a safe temperature..................very disappointed and will not return.
Taking son to first Broncos game
Service was exceptional
Food was tasty - servings were small tho
Especially for the money you spend on the a la carte
Otherwise very enjoyable
Second time we have eaten here and still impressed. Great steaks and service was top notch.
We had a wonderful dinner. The food was excellent. We both had a salad and shared a filet mignon. We ordered the coconut shrimp and the wait staff forgot to bring it first then brought us a shrimp cocktail instead and so we finally got the coconut shrimp after our steaks. It was delicious if a little late. We. Had a little ice cream and coffee for dessert.
We liked the dinner so much we came back for a quick breakfast the next morning. We had the maple bacon donut holes. These cake donut holes are heavenly. We had plenty for the next morning as well. I also ordered the yogurt with granola but yet again they brought me the wrong thing. I ended up with the berries and freshly whipped cream. I went ahead and kept it because I was hungry and we were in a bit of a rush. I am glad I did because it was great. Better than more yogurt.
This was a really good restaurant. The service was very good except for the small problem of getting the orders straight.
Excellent meal, one of the best fillets I have had in a long time...perfectly seasoned and done exactly as ordered (Medium Rare). Although other items on the menu are very good (and the staff promotes them), my wife regretted going with the lobster linguini. It was good, but this whole place is engineered to deliver the perfect steak! Wine list is extensive, with few low-budget offerings...which is fine since you really want to come here for a special occasion with no holding back on the wallet.
The lamb fondue starter was incredible. It was a pleasure to have Mr Elways meats inside of me.
Did not meet expectations. The chili was very good, but the Filet Oscar Style was too much “kitchen sink”. The sauce was overpowering, and the inclusion of string onions and other additives proves the old adage: less is more.
I do appreciate selling Brunello di Montalcino by the glass. You don’t find that often. However, significant sediment in my glass should have been seen and never served.
All in all, okay. Wouldn’t rush to go back.
Britany was our server and she was awesome! The dining room did get loud so it was difficult to hold a serious business conversation, but the food made up for it!
First rate; top shelf. Elway's is exactly what an upscale steak house in Denver should be. The food, ambiance, wine list and service were all perfect. The chef even prepared a special dish on request and hand delivered it to our table personally (we were asked not reveal what it was for fear they might be overrun with requests). The bone in filet was a masterpiece and prepared exactly as ordered (medium rare plus) as was the bone in rib eye. Under the heading of "you get what you pay for" the meal cost considerably more than a regular restaurant. But the experience was considerably more than a 'regular restaurant' as well. A special occasion or business dinner will warrant a return visit.
We were very excited to go to Elway's. We thought it was a big letdown. We did think the steaks were delicious. So go for the steak. The sides were nothing exceptional. We can pay far less and get the same thing elsewhere. The value just wasn't there. We had eaten the prime rib sandwich at the airport and loved it. So, like I said, disappointed. We won't go back but had to try it. But we still love John Elway.
The bone-in NY Strip was fabulous. Wonderful cut, mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. Everything served was excellent. Wait staff is the best. My favorite steakhouse in downtown Denver.
Great food and wine coupled with excellent service. Highly recommended.
We went for our 1 year anniversary because we went there on our first date 8 years ago and though we should make it a tradition. We were not disappointed. They rolled out the red carpet for us. We were addresses as Mr and Mrs Jensen and it seemed as though everyone that came to our table was aware of our special occasion. When we were sat there was rose petals on the table with candles. The food was exceptional as was the service. We were treated with fudge pops by the busses that boxed our food for us who was also aware of our anniversary. We will be back for every year for our anniversary no doubt about it.
Service was amazing! our two waiters were wonderful and attentive. Thought prices were way out of whack. Had a lobster tail that was $65. supposed to be a heavy 10 oz. was actually a couple ounces. $258.00 for two with little alcohol.
Cold food. Mediocre service. Cold coffee. Start to finish a disappointment
Our waiter Adam was outstanding. His recommendations right on. Fabulous food.
My salmon was served to me rare when I had ordered it well done. I had asked for a salad so that it didn’t take long so I could eat with my family. That never happened my family ate without me and they brought me a new price of salmon 40 mins later ignoring what I had asked. Will not visit or recommend again.
Fantastic as always. I take my son once a year to see his Broncos play ball. Since we live in California we can’t frequent often enough.
Elways is tucked nicely inside the Ritz Carlton. It’s very nice for casual to formal attire.
We go every year for Sunday brunch before the game, so I can only attest to the brunch menu, which is a buffet of breakfast items eggs, potatoes, fruit, meat, French toast , granola, yogurt, made to order omelets and I’m sure there is much more. I stick to my paleo diet and order from the menu.
The walls are decorated tastefully and elegantly with Mr. Elway and his Broncos accomplishments. A full bar leads the way too many local beers and assortment of cocktails.
The wait staff is always friendly and eager to help. Once again we had our favorite Annette! They should be paid comparable to his players!!!!
Overtime we eat there, the service is horrible. I don't know if it's the wait staff or the kitchen or both. Food is good, place is nice, but the service leaves a lot to be desired
Service was very poor. Food served with no utensils. Was not attentive. One steak not prepared as ordered. Wine bottle knocked over by waiter, but was made good. Ambiance was very nice.
Amazing dinner. Wonderful service. I highly recommend this place for a great date night or really any occasion.
Amazing steak. We had the filet's and they were all cooked perfectly. So tender and amazing flavor. Great service and nice atmosphere. Parking was a breeze with the free valet.
Food was delish. A few of the items were a little over priced. But for the most part it was on par with this level of restaurant.
Our service was so awful, we had to leave and have our food brought to our room in the Ritz. It was our 35th anniversary.
Loved everything about the experience. We went for your first year anniversary and it was the perfect cap to the night. We will make this a tradition.
Good food- Service fluctuated between good and bad. Just the two of us came here straight off of a long flight. At first we were greeted by two different wait staff saying they’d both be serving us. I read another review that said if there’s only 2 of you it’s hard to get service. I think they’re right.
The bread came out right away along with our drinks. After that it was like making eye contact with someone who was avoiding you- for about half an hour.
I was unhappy with the John’s salad I had ordered- it used iceberg lettuce. What kind of high-end restaurant serves a salad with iceberg lettuce? We exchanged that for lamb fondue- and had really good service from there on.
We ended up ordering- lamb fondue, Brussels hash, asparagus, steak filet, baked potato (that comes with small bowls of all the fixings). We were pleased with our choices- and even with the bizarre service, we would still go back.
We treated like royalty for our anniversary. We’ll be back! Thank you!!
Food was good but the service is what made our night amazing. Leslie and Jens made my wife’s birthday really special.
