Thank you for choosing to dine with us at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, "Where the World Registers."

Elyington's is currently going through a major interior redesign. We are very excited to see what the new Elyngton's will bring to the Brown Palace. While the renovation is going on, we will proudly serve our ala carte breakfast in Palace Arms Monday -Saturday, and will be serving Sunday brunch in the 5280 room on the 2nd floor from 10am-2pm.

Our Sunday brunch is offered exclusively as buffet. We are so delighted to bring back the Sunday Champagne Brunch that Denver has grown to love, and has been missing since 2020. Some examples of what is offered on our buffet is a made-to-order omelet station, hand-carved prime rib, biscuits and gravy, and coming soon, a made-to-order crepe station.

We brought my grandma here for her birthday and she loved reminiscing about her memories of coming there when she was a kid! After breakfast we talked to the consierge who let us see one of the suites on the 8th floor which was cool!

Waiter was harried and sweating. Forgot multiple drinks staff did not clear plates but they took our napkins off our seats when we left the table to get food. I expect excellence at the Brown Palace and got mediocre

Quite a surprise to eat on the balcony and ballroom. Crowded at the buffet and bar was far away. Service was adequate but slow due to short staff. Food was quite good. This isn't the Brown we remember.

We went for Mither’s Day brunch, and I have to say the experience was not what we expect from the Brown Palace. The wait staff was inadequate (and didn’t speak English), the quality of the food was subpar for $100 plates, and it did not seem like they were very organized compared to years past. We’ve previously enjoyed Mother’s Day brunch at the Brown Palace as well as other services, but if this is the new standard for Mother’s Day, we’ll be going to the Greenbriar moving forward.

We enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch this year in the beautiful Onyx Room at the Browm Palace Hotel. Although musicians may vary from one room to another, the trio entertaining us with classical music that included Violin, Cello, and Harp were especially pleasant. The food was delicious and included roast beef, salmon, sausages, omelets, various salads, berries, fruit, and many splendid desserts. Champagne is offered in addition to other spirits, or a choice of juices, teas, and coffee. The experience was wonderful for those of us who prefer a slightly more formal dining experience.

We've been going to the Brown Palace for over a decade. We have always enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch, but after the Pandemic, it just has not been the same. We paid $95 per person, and I do not feel like it was worth the buffet we received. There were fresh seafood options pre-pandemic, and in the last few years, there have been no fresh seafood sections. The server and helpers were nice, but they were very busy with so many people to take care of, by the time we got food on our plate, it was not very warm when we sat down. I am gluten and dairy-free, and most items were covered in dairy, with few dairy free-options available. For instance, there was smoked salmon, but it was covered in cream cheese. In the past, there were more options for someone like me, like fresh seafood, more salads, vegetables, meat options, etc. We will not be coming back.

This was one of the worst Mother's Day experiences possible. We signed up for the brunch only to be shoved into a back booth of a non-brunch experience. The food was disgusting, cold, and came out of order and incomplete. In addition, we paid our check and they neglected to give us back out credit card. We had to come back several hours later to pick it up and had to get security involved to find it. When I said the wait staff didn't put out card back in the bill sleeve they said "I know" and never offered an apology. We will never go back for anything here. I have a gift card for the high tea at the Brown Palace and I think I'm just going to throw it in the trash. This place sucks, the service is awful, the food is bad, and its overpriced.

Ellyngton’s was closed, they seated us in the hotel breakfast room. There was one waiter, who was wildly overworked, and kept delivering the wrong food to our table. We waited 30 minutes to even have our orders taken. The eggs Benedict were mediocre, the prime hash tender, but lacked flavor. Nothing about this meal was exceptional. Will not be returning.

Complete disaster of wait staff. Waited 20m for coffee. Food came out cold. 45m for mimosas and the second round of mimosas never came. Not the place for breakfast. Dinner the night before at the palace arms was 5 star plus.

I had a 9:30 reservation for my family on Saturday the 13th. My intent was to treat my wife and mother in law to brunch. We also have two small children 6 months and 2 years old. When we arrived we learned that Ellyngtons was actually closed. No big deal. The restaurant next door with the same menu was a perfectly good substitute. There was a long wait for the table. We were seated after 10am. Still that wasn’t very problematic. The waiter had a good sense of humor and seemed attentive. We got our beverage orders in and received the beverages in a good amount of time. We also placed our food orders in a reasonable time frame. This is when things really went off the rails. Roughly 40 minutes after ordering some food was brought to us. Only 2 dishes. It turned out that they were for another table. A table that sat and ordered much later than us. By now other tables that had come in after us were eating and even getting ready to leave. Some time after 11 my baby was getting very tired and I went on a walk with him to get him to sleep. Everyone was hangry including my 2 year old who usually naps at noon. I thought that a 9:30 reservation would be more than safe. Eventually my wife came and found me on my walk around the hotel and let me know that the food never came and that we were leaving. She was upset to say the least. I read great reviews of the brunch there and heard great things from others I know who have been. Unfortunately we never had brunch and really had a crappy half of a day. It was a disappointment to me that I was not able to treat my wife and mother in law to brunch as planned. I contacted the hotel and restaurant via e mail on May 16th and still haven’t heard back

We took our parents here for brunch and to experience the Brown Palace and explore its history. $75 per person for a very average brunch. Way too expensive for what they offered. The brunch did not include anything special. No seafood, no Benedicts. Nothing to justify it being that costly per person.

Have been going to the The Brown’s Easter for 20+ years and this year was probably the most disappointing. Our reservation was late, 1:45. By the time we were seated, many of the food options were limited. Our servers were not filling our water glasses as they usually would. Not sure if we will attend next year. So bummed.

The Sunday (Easter) brunch was frankly a disappointment. The actual restaurant was closed, so we were shuttled into conference rooms on the second floor. Though the staff was friendly, they seem to disorganized and not prepared. It was a continuous struggle to get cold water, and even cutlery. As well, the Buffet was often under stocked, and was not very well received by my family. In general, it was a massive disappointment, and we don’t plan on returning to the Easter brunch at The Brown. The quality and service did not meet the cost.

We’ve loved Ellyngton’s for many years. It is a great spot for b’fast meetings and special family breakfasts. As of our visit (April 2023) they are in the Churchill Bar while the regular spot is being remodeled. The food on this visit was perfect. We appreciate the consistency of their quality and flavors. The one area where we notice some change is in the service. It isn’t as sharp and professional as it was. It is very friendly, but in a diner sort of way. This is a little distracting during business meetings. Regardless, we’ll continue coming and hope that the training of the front-of-house team continues.

The service was about the worst I’ve ever encountered. Jerome, the maître d was the only professional staff member. I asked for soft fried eggs, they were hard. I asked three different waiters for cream for my coffee. Never appeared and the coffee was Ice cold. Asked for my check and was told the computers were down. I waited 20 to get the check. I’ll never be back. Don’t waste your money going there. Plus it was extremely noisy

We had always heard such rave reviews of the Sunday buffet at Ellyngton's and I knew it was the perfect choice for my pescatarian husband's birthday. The photos are information about their beautiful seafood bar and elegant displays made this something we were looking so forward to. We were thrilled to see the buffet was back open and running even though Ellyngton's is currently under going a renovations. We were greeted with nothing like the pictures or amazing word of mouth recommendations. Just a hallway of hot chaffing dishes. No seafood and almost everything contained meat products. We were seated in accompanying meeting rooms which was okay, but the table we were sat at was very small for two people over 6 feet. Neither one of us could sit very close to the round table because of the leg configurations. We had the also unfortunate seating arrangement which gave us a clear view of the waitress scooping ice from the make shift champagne cooling tubs, with her hands, to fill customer glasses. For as many staff members as they had, our glasses sat empty more often than not and dirty plates remained on our table. We had been looking forward to this amazing brunch for so long. It was such an incredible letdown and disappointment.

No Horse radish for Prime Rib. By the time it was brought to us after asking the meat was ice cold. On server said to us that she was told to stop asking about it. Well she could have kept that to herself, made us feel bad. Didn't think the selection of the food was good. No salt and pepper and again took for ever to get.

Very dissatisfied with the brunch experience. We were there to celebrate 86th B-day for family member and several issues arose. First, the location had changed to a second floor banquet room and adjacent atrium area as Ellingtons was undergoing renovation (I was not made aware of this at the time of booking or I would have gone somewhere else). Second, the service was poor; e.g., coffee came finally and then no milk or sugar and had to wait after asking for it for 20 minute and coffee was cold; drinks were forgotten; salt and pepper delayed when asked for them; everything slow and had to flag down various staff to get items desired. Food layout on the buffet was nonsensical; e.g., frittata, next to carnitas, next to bread pudding, which was next to soup (I nearly ladled soup onto my pudding believing it to be sauce for the pudding. We were very disappointed as we always loved Sunday Brunch at the Palace.

Beware- The restaurant is actually flooded and under repairs. No one's fault of course, but would be nice if this was posted or shared so I didn't plan a special brunch to be held in a conference room. Regardless, the food was okay- definitely not worth the cost! The frittata was bland and watery. Fruit generic. Sausage-gravy casserole dish thing was horrible. The only tasty item was from the carving station. The staff was lovely, very kind, courteous, and Jerome was amazing. But the rest of the experience was a disappointment.

This was our first time back to Ellyngtons for brunch after Covid. Because of a burst pipe, they have moved the brunch upstairs to the second floor. The rooms that it’s housed in are nowhere near as elegant as the old location. We were seated at one of the tables closest to the piano player, which was nice, but can be a little loud. The food selection has decreased with fewer options and not as good as I remember. They have no antipasto selections other than cheese with no crackers or bread slices, no sushi, no waffle station, and when I asked about them about making an eggs Benedict for me, which they used to do, he said the kitchen closed an hour ago, which would’ve meant 11 o’clock even though brunch is not over until 2:00 which I found a little odd. Most of the food is actually located in the hallway that people have to walk by to get into the restaurant which I don’t think is a good set up and for $75 without champagne, I don’t think the experience lived up to the price. Lastly, they used to have an all inclusive champagne option, but now you have to either buy it by the glass or purchase a bottle of champagne if you want champagne. Hopefully it will return to what it was when the old location is open again.

I wasn't going to ruin my Mom's 80th birthday at the one place she loves more than any other, but 75$ per plate for a brunch buffet was extremely expensive. I was pretty shocked to see a lack of any dress code; people in shorts and ball caps, it felt like we were at IHop truthfully. Especially since the buffet was pretty basic; fruit, bacon and sausage links, over cooked tough pancakes, oatmeal, biscuit egg sliders and an omelette station for breakfast and lunch was various meats with some potatoes/veggies. Like I said definitely not worth 75$. We were expecting maybe 50$ per person or even a separate menu to order something less expensive (my wife had a bariatric surgery so she can only eat a very small portion, she ate maybe 5$ worth of food). Service was awesome, accommodation was top tier and Mom got to say hello to a lot of people from her past, but we won't be back.

Absolutely horrible experience! I booked this for a nice sit down brunch and instead it turned into a serve yourself buffet at $75 a plate. The food was not worth it with little to no variety and nothing from their usual menu. It was hosted in a ballroom due to renovations but all these changes would've been nice to know ahead of time. I felt trapped as I could not cancel my reservation and feared a charge if I simply left. DO NOT GO! STAY AWAY!

I get the flood and need to renovate but it was kept quiet from me and I would not have known prior unless I'd left a voice mail and request for a call back. So the upstairs location was hardly the same as being in the downstairs restaurant and felt exactly what it was - a makeshift campsite. It did not help that the food was all over the place - why not all in the same spot. Given the circumstances the reduced food choices was unacceptable. No salmon? No bread? No crackers? c'mon!!! I don't eat meat so I'm a cheap date for you given I ate only cheese and potatoes. Given this is my third visit for brunch (lucky me) frankly this was a huge disappointment. A call to discuss this would be nice. The staff were delightful however, so no complaints in that respect.
