Ellyngton's at the Brown Palace
**THERE IS NO LONGER A BUFFET FOR BRUNCH ON SUNDAYS. ALL ITEMS ARE OFF THE MENU.**
Dealmakers, politicians and business people frequent Ellyngton's regularly, making it the place to see and be seen. The hotel main dining room serves traditional breakfast with a twist; deli sandwiches, creative entrees and salads for lunch, as well as our City Search Best Brunch winning Dom Perignon Sunday Brunch. Three tiers of champagne are offered to complement the experience: Domaine Chandon, Moet et Chandon, and of course, Dom Perignon.

We were very glad that Ellyngtons is starting back up in this way. We have gone to the Sunday Brunch for years and this is was just a stepping stone for then to reopen safely.
HOWEVER.... As soon as Denver goes in to the next phase ...PLEASE bring back the full
Brunch!!! When that happens all will be fantastic.
Nobody answered phone after numerous calls to speak with employee ahead of time.
Website did a poor job of articulating no buffet or all you can eat... instead we were told it was a-la-carte off limited menu... could’ve done a much better job of displaying and explaining this ahead of time/ at time of booking.
Actual “waitress” was almost non-existent and took 15 min to even greet us once seated.
Not sure I’ve ever seen a cloth tablecloth with as many wrinkles in it... certainly not a restaurant of this caliber.
Host, drink staff, & cook were all great - attentive and quality food.
Music and ambiance were great.
I understand some things would’ve be the same as when we did this in 2013 (due to COVID) but this seemed to take reasonable things to an extreme unfortunately.
This was our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our time and our meal. Our waiter was great and so was the food. I especially enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the live music. I will be back!
We had brunch and a carafe of mimosas. The portions were big and the food was delicious, including drinks!
We had a wonderful Valentines Day meal. We love the place. We loved the live piano music and singing. Wonderful atmosphere. One complaint. It was very cold in that room.
We were seated next to entryway while there were tables available near piano. We couldn’t hear the music, zero ambiance next to host station. Room was uncomfortably cold, we were shivering. Heavy dust visible on tables base and other areas. Dirty plate bottom... When I lifted my entree plate to move to the side there was a black ring on the white table cloth. There was no bartender, waiter did offer to try and figure out as we searched for ingredients online for a basic old fashioned. Very disappointing Valentines Day experience.
I have been to Ellyngton's before for their legendary Easter Brunch...it's usually very impressive. So I made reservations for Valentine's Day, knowing that we would not get the buffet style brunch but would order from the brunch menu...no problem, I thought. First of all, it was freezing in the room. We left our coats on for all of breakfast, as did several other people that were having brunch. I know that we had a stretch of 0-degree weather that weekend, but I would expect to at least feel heat coming out of the registers.
My friend was planning to order something with salmon for brunch, since 3 or 4 items on the menu did have salmon as part of the offering. When we were ready to order, the waiter said, "Just to let you know...we don't have any salmon this morning. Sorry about that." So she ordered Avocado-toast that was described as having an egg in it. hen it was served, there was no egg on her plate at all. I ordered the classic breakfast which was to also include toast, and the waiter even confirmed that sourdough was acceptable with me. I never did get my toast. The coffee was decent though, and we drank plenty of it trying to keep ourselves warm.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, especially for such an important occasion as Valentine's Day.
It’s a nice place. Very overpriced for what you get. The food is good and service was good as well. I wouldn’t recommend for breakfast. Lunch and dinner could be better
It’s fine - if you’re staying at the hotel and don’t want to venture out. Nothing to brag about and at hotel prices so.....it was fine.
Coffee, breakfast and wine were all delicious.
The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to interact with.
Great aesthetic and ambience for any meal or occasion.
The hotel is also very nice to look at and seemed to have plenty of other options for eating and drinking!
We came here for breakfast the morning after our wedding and it was fantastic!
Lamentable
Excellent service, food was very good, and nicely presented. Upscale atmosphere and service.
The service was excellent. Wait staff was caring and truly cared about our experience. The food was fabulous. During these times Ellington's was able to offer an experience as dynamic as ever.
Our service was great. Our server was very polite and super nice. The host at the front was very welcoming and friendly. It is a beautiful restaurant, but the buffet is cancelled due to Covid and the menu is minimal. This is to be expected due to the uncertain times we are in but it was a great experience regardless. I would like to come back when the buffet is open again, the photos looks delicious
Breakfast with Mom who
Has limited outings because of Covid.
Fun waiter! Great service despite Covid. Miss the brunch table for gatherings.
Amazing food. Corn beef hash, denver omelette, French toast was amazing only down side coffee was not very hot. I will come back here again!
I recommend this place to anyone who has never dined in elegance!
Excellent breakfast; amazing staff; nice and quiet... it’s the perfect place for breakfast when you’re staying at The Brown Palace !
Excellent breakfast omelet. Crab and asparagus with the sauce.
Service was great! Food very good will defiantly return
Delicious! Very nice place to have breakfast. The food was delicious!
Breakfast = Good. That’s pretty much it.
Eric, our server was wonderful. The food was good. Miss the buffet ☹️
Wonderful breakfast! Best corned beef hash that I have ever eaten.
Ellyngton's is gorgeous, traditional, and authentic. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic. Try the corned beef hash.
Friendly service with great food. Highly enjoyable brunch
It was lovely experience and the food and service was fabulous!
First weekend re-opened for brunch and things worked so smoothly. While we haven't been before to participate in the full buffet for Sunday brunch, we left there was a good, full menu of options. Our waiter (Keith) was so helpful both with describing the menu layout, but also sharing history of the Brown Palace. HE was very helpful and passionate!
Great dining experience thank you!
Good breakfast. The salmon toast was excellent, crab oscar omelet had plenty of crab though the Hollandaise could have been better, and the recommended beef hash was highly seasoned. Great service, tables spread out and quiet.
Very nice place.
We didn’t get to eat at Ellynton’s at all as it is completely closed. We were seated in the hotel lobby. This was misleading from the reservation and disappointing as it was a birthday. Also the food is not at all what one would expect for such a price. Live and learn!
Beautiful setting. Food was OK. Servers seemed stressed and a bit disorganized. A nice one-time experience but would likely not eat there again.
Always a great breakfast at the Brown.
Ellygnton’s is being remodeled, so seating is in lobby atrium.
First and foremost this is not Ellyngton's, which remains closed due to the reduced offerings in response to covid. Unsure of why you can continue to book Ellyngtons as breakfast is served in the Brown Palace Atrium. Sunday Champagne Brunch as traditionally served prior to covid is no more. We were happy with the food, quantity and quality, very tasty breakfast. Service was inattentive.
We expected the amazing brunch Buffett and were only offered a very limited bfast menu in the lobby.
Lots of food!
Very basic breakfast items to choose from. Menu was limited.
