This was disappointing because two couples at the table had really enjoyed this place in the past. We were a table of 7 and received extremely slow, indifferent service. Maybe because the 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill which is to be expected but service should not be affected by that. Food was okay but not great. One diner's fish and mashed potatoes were very cold. Table side Caesar was too garlicky, too much Worcestershire and not enough olive oil. Parmesan and anchovies did not seem to be quality ingredients. We had to ask about dessert as the waiter seemed to be bringing the check as soon as we finished our entrees.

Always great! Consistency is key in a restaurant and Andy does it best! Great food, friendly service and Happy Hour is a terrific value! You can’t go wrong with anything, but the green chili queso beef tips are outstanding!

JJ and his brother along with Carmen feel like family to me. I adore them and JJ will be missed. Best Happy Hour ever. A hidden surprise. Mostly locals here and while the facade looks a little run down and probably keeps tourists away the inside is glorious. Caesar Salad and Banana Flambe should not be missed. I would recommend this place big time and where you can get a great meal for half of the cost from the Santa Fe expensive superstars.

Dinner for Two has the BEST Caesar Salad! Their Surf & Turf Special included three coconut shrimp, a lobster tail and any choice of meat that is on the menu!! I chose the Filet and it was Amazing!!

Eli is a friendly efficient engaging server. Wine list is very good with about a 200% markup. Some good choices by the glass. Luscious soft butter with truffles accompanies multigrain soft rolls. This is one of the few New Mexico restaurants serving veal. Their meat comes from a ranch in Southern Colorado. I thought the veal Marsala was well cooked at slightly rare, but my husband had to compare it to South Philly so it wasn’t sliced thinly enough for him. It was nice to have oyster mushrooms but the sauce seemed too salty. Tacos Al pastor are tiny but delicious. I made a meal of them with heirloom tomato soup. It was fun to see the Caesar salad and bananas foster made at the tables around the dining room, but I couldn’t be convinced of $15 per person for a salad.

Dinner For Two serves good food and provides excellent service but is overpriced. Seating was too close, we felt like passive dinner mates with people on both sides of us. Lighting was too low; setting the mood is one thing, but dark is not acceptable. Food was good, but portions were small and very expensive when compared to other locations we have visited in the Santa Fe area. We don't mind paying for good food, and a great location. This was simply above the average pricing. However, the people saved the experience! The wait staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The table side preparation presentations were very well done, and the host was right on the money with our table and reservation. Overall - I would not recommend. Too bad, since the people working there are exceptional, but they do not dictate pricing and portions.

We went for our 30th anniversary. We had a wonderful evening. Cocktails were really good and the pulled pork tacos were quite tasty. Our dinners were both quite good (lobster tails and fillet). I could cut my steak with my fork and it was one of the best fillets I've ever had. We were treated to a delicious slice of carrot cake for desert. Overall a great experience

We celebrated our 5 yr wedding anniversary along with my daughter and her girlfriend. Everything about the evening was perfect, from wine and appetizers to our main courses, but had no room left for the delectable looking desserts. Love Dinner For Two - it never disappoints!

Our dinner was good, not stellar. For the $$, it was only a 4. The appetizer of coconut prawns came with 3 prawns for 2 of us. What don’t restaurants serve appetizers in even numbers? Diners often share appetizers. There was some confusion from servers getting food to the right tables. Twice food was brought to us that wasn’t ours. They also offered the food to the table next to us. The servers were very pleasant.

Happy hour was amazing! Lots of interesting cocktails and delicious food. The fried salmon with truffle fries was excellent. We also loved the beet and strawberry salad and the beef sirloin tips with queso. Fabulous!

After enjoying several happy hours here, we decided to have our anniversary dinner at Dinner for Two. We were underwhelmed. It seemed an effort for the server to understand my dietary restrictions. The greens in my salad were limp and past fresh (lettuce should be green, not yellow or brown). Though the meat in the chateaubriand was perfectly cooked and butter-tender, it was drowned in the sauce, as were the veggies. The veggies included lots of onions, despite my clearly starting my allergy up front. So I could not eat them even if I had wanted sautéed veggies drenched in Marsala sauce. Our special occasion didn't end up feeling very special. The cosmos were superb, though, and we'll go back again for happy hour.

An excellent experience, as usual. The outdoor tables have a very urban feel, with lots of action on the street and lots of happy conversations. Good selection of food. My only quibble is that I sure preferred the "old days" with a guitarist to the house music they're playing now. (But we're regulars nonetheless.)

My husband and I were very impressed with the quality of food, personal service and outstanding value of their happy hour. We highly recommend Dinner for Two! We made reservations for 5:15 pm with a 6pm end to their happy hour. We assumed we’d have to sit in the bar or lovely patio, but instead we were led to a cozy white-cloth table. My husband ordered an Old Fashion and I had a Hello Kitty which came in a ceramic black cat who was holding an umbrella. We shared appetizers of coconut shrimp, blue crab cakes and breaded and fried salmon. Yes, breaded salmon. OMG! It arrived on a bed of mini French fries and was a surprisingly delicious way to eat salmon. The finale was carrot cake. Each item was $7-9. Dinner for Two made our trip to Sante Fe memorable.

Went for happy hour apps and drinks. Excellent selection. Our party of 4 enjoyed delicious salmon salad, salmon fish & chips, coconut shrimp, blue crab cakes, and carrot cake. Two each were plenty for a light dinner. Server and staff were professional and friendly.

The food was good, but not exceptional, the service was very good but the value was poor. We had 2 dinners priced at the low end on the menu and the bill came to $120 with tax and tip. I will not be going back to Dinner for Two.

Outstanding value during happy hour....plates are generous, full bar menu, incredible staff and and the outdoor patio is lovely and a people watching delight...Dinner for Two was one of the highlights of our trip to Santa Fe. We dined there two nights out of the five we were there. Signature cocktails are works of art and delicious!

We came here for our anniversary and we’re extraordinarily disappointed. First of all it was a Sunday night and their tables were half occupied and they sat us next to the busing stand where we can hear the clanking of silverware and plates so we asked to be moved. There are about 15 items on the dinner menu and they were out of half of them, including veal, piccata, pork dishes, even some basic pasta, and fettuccine dishes. My wife tried ordering a glass of Prosecco, and they didn’t have Prosecco. The manager came to speak with us and was belligerent and rude we will never return.
