Chef Fuji-San and his wife take you on a magical tour of Japan with seasonal fish, delicious chawanmushi and beautifully curated appetizers. As a gluten free diner, the restaurant reached out to me ahead of time to try and accommodate my allergy and also made a special chawanmushi so that I could truly enjoy the experience. This is a special dining experience and special chef family.

every item on the O & G menu has unique, subtle spices and pizzazz. we love anything with Paola's secret sauce, especially the Musakka. highly recommend anything off the grill, in particular the sockeye salmon we had last night. Salad options are Greek and lightly dressed; our favorite is always the arugula with parmesan. The mezze and small plates are delicious, as well, including the amazing house made hummus and baba ganoush and pita! We dine here often.

My husband and I frequently visit Seattle and never miss the chance to dine at Mondello. It is coincidentally a favorite restaurant of our discerning 4-year-old grandson, who always orders his favorite polpo con patate, which is simple yet delicious! Yesterday he requested that the potato slices be quartered, and the lovely owner accommodated him, though it did not ruin the presentation. We also enjoyed perfectly cooked fettuccini de mare, a small Caesar salad with homemade croutons, and a beautiful vegetable platter at my request. Everything looked fantastic and tasted even better! We finished dinner with affogato and panna cotta served with fresh berry jam. The highlight of our experience was the warmth with which we were treated. You have to be a restaurateur at heart to create the welcoming atmosphere that Sofina has cultivated at Mondello!
