About the restaurant
FareStart's James Beard award-winning model for social change is fueled by our restaurant. We’re located in the heart of Seattle for breakfast/lunch on weekdays (walk-ins only), private catered events, Guest Chef Nights and other special dining experiences.

Our beloved Guest Chef Night pairs premier local chefs with FareStart students to create a three-course meal served by volunteers. These events occur on Thursday evenings, tickets are released a month in advance and reservations are needed. These events generally sell out quickly, so we recommend booking as soon as possible.

FareStart is a social enterprise nonprofit focused on job training and employment. Our restaurant and other food-based businesses serve as classrooms for students to gain culinary skills that prepare them for careers in and beyond the food service industry. Since 1992, we’ve helped more than 15,000 adults and youth work toward stability and economic mobility.

We were attracted to The Tin Table by its high Google rating, its diverse (perhaps eclectic) menu, very reasonable prices. It did not disappoint. The sharables are certainly adequate for sharing or realistically an entrée if you choose not to share. The cheese plate with the warm olives is a fantastic combination.

Pioneer Square
About the restaurant
Il Terrazzo Carmine, owned and operated by Carmine Smeraldo, is one of Seattle's true dining anomalies - a highly successful restaurant with unfailingly high standards and a loyal, sophisticated clientele. The cuisine has been acclaimed as Seattle's best by the media and more importantly, by local diners.
Il Terrazzo Carmine is located in historic Pioneer Square - nestled in an urban-renewed alley with entrances through the vintage lobby on First Avenue or through the delightful courtyard in the back. Since 1984, Carmine Smeraldo's classic Italian restaurant has been where the locals have chosen to return over and over again. From the Carpaccio Di Bue and Spaghettini Dell 'Ortolano for lunch to the Suprema Di Pollo Farcita and Zuppa Di Pesce for dinner you will know you have gone to a place where excellence is a way of life. Arguably the best Italian restaurant in Seattle, Il Terrazzo serves classical Italian cuisine with an atmosphere you may want to call home and never leave
