- DDianeNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOld Homestead is an excellent old school steakhouse. A lot of dark wood, red leather and great steaks. The service is outstanding. And the fact that it’s been open for over 150 years, gives it a sense of history. Would recommend.More infoOld Homestead Steakhouse- New York CityPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Meatpacking District•4.5

- JJosephNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 6 days agoThe place is well staffed, Really upscale ambiance our waiter and the Dominican waitress were exceptionally Attentive and really great at explaining the menu. Myself along with my wife and our two princesses have been restaurant hoping all year our top two picks are llamas in Williamsburg and Joras in long Island City the food was mind blowing, very upscale presentation. the food tasted as if it were cooked by a Peruvian grandmother so delicious and the bill was about $220 for 4 people llamas a little more pricey The price is not the issue but $400 + $100 tip I expected some really delicious food The skirt steak here was great 5 star Sweet potato 3 stars Stuffed shells way to sweet Lamp chops were great but the piece of roasted lamb shoulder really threw off the platter Starter bread platter was elite Me and my wife do not drink but we decided to share a glass of a really nice full body red wine and it was great. This place can really become a long-term Jewel if you master your kitchen. I really recommend some traditional simple pasta and master the sauce The world wants organic The world wants rich taste We will return in the near future to try the pork chop and salad.
