The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began. Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

It was excellent. My only wish was that my steak had actually been medium rare instead of medium . It tasted fine but I was left wondering how much better it would have been if I had received it the way I requested. I didn’t send it back because it couldn’t be undone and and it would have gone to waste. My husband’s order was supposed to be medium and he got his medium rare. We didn’t switch because I ordered the steak with the crab meat and he ordered the filet y enchilada. Otherwise, it was a great experience and I highly recommend the restaurant. Just make sure they understand your preferences.

First time while visiting Santa Fe and was very pleased with my dinner there. Easy to make a reservation and just a short walk from the Worldmark resort. Seated at a nicely located table and the waiter was a nice pleasant young man who answered my questions and made sure I didn't need anything throughout my meal without hovering. The food was nicely prepared and presented, the sauce adding the just right touch to my crab stuffed salmon, and the asparagus actually cooked to my requested doneness. All in all, the entire meal was excellent.. and then I ordered the carrot cake. Wow.. very good and a great dessert! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will go there again.

We had a lively evening, we love management staff at La Fogata, the food is over the top excellent, on this Sunday night the mariachi band was playing, and we and the rest of the patrons had a blast with several deciding to dance. Best of atmosphere and wonderful food can’t be anything perfect and you’ll find that at La Fogata.
