Our server was very professional and attentive. There was some difficulty with the waiter hearing our order because of the proximity to the band. The band was NOT at a bad level. Quite the opposite. But there were occurrences where we couldn't be heard. There was also a situation where we ordered one dish that actually was not on the menu (one guest ordered Chicken Thighs) and the waiter misinterpreted that as a different dish. The incorrect dish arrived and we sent it back stating that it was not our order. We then informed the server and we discovered the mix up. But, that additional dish was STILL CHARGED to us. The additional dish was a 2nd order of the Chicken Chicharrones. Overall the meals and evening were great!

I went here sometime in March with a group of friends around 8:00 pm. Upon our arrival, we were caught off guard because there was no music playing and only a few other people were there, so we thought they were closed. However, it turned out that the speaker wasn't working that day, so we played our own music quietly at our table, which was fine. Once we ordered our food, it was great overall, in fact, it was fantastic. The calamari was so good that we ordered multiple rounds of it. The restaurant is also aesthetically pleasing and has a cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing evening with friends. We definitely plan on returning in the future to enjoy the food and laid-back ambiance again. I just hope that next time there will be music and more people in the restaurant, but the food was also reasonable price so that is great!

Soluna Cocina is a high energy well designed concept. The team, from management through service is committed to making your dining experience great. For me there were only two things that were a disconnect. The first being the quality of the chips served the moment i sat down. They were terrible. Now, from a business side they sort of made sense as i saw several people at the bar nursing a single drink while eating several bowls of chips and salsa. So i kind of get it, but the disconnect from the rest of the food that the kitchen/chef prepared was very disappointing. The rest of my dinner was very well prepared, somewhat authentic, and if very high quality..... at least until dessert. The ceviche was very fresh and flavorful and the short rib special was perfect. The flan was also a diss appointment. What should have been a light conclusion to a great meal was an over cooked and heavy puck of custard covered up with canned whipped cream. The entire chemistry of the flan was off. I will note that this is a newly opened place and every new place has some things to work out. The tequila list is extensive and well crafted as were the drinks. The staff is amazing and the chef is creating some quality food. I would encourage anyone in the area to go try Soluna Cocina out. I know that i will be back.

Lovely restaurant but extremely loud and hard to hear each other at the table. Ask for Toby at the bar to make your drinks. He makes the best Espresso Martinis in Annapolis.
