- LLeonardVIPConnecticut •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFirst time eating here and we loved it! The service was appropriately attentive and, acknowledging that most people are unfamiliar with Georgian food, they walked us through the menu showing pictures of various items on a tablet. Very helpful. The food was outstanding, and the flavor profiles wonderfully different from our normal fare. You should note that the cheese and bread offerings and salads were big enough to share. Also, I was very impressed with the wine. I had a terrific Saperavi, a full-bodied dry red wine. We were there on a quiet Sunday night so not sure of the noise level when it would be more crowded, but that wouldn't stop us from going again. Can't wait! Note that I think they have changed the name of the restaurant to "MaaMa by Cheese and Bread" (which should not be confused with MaaMa Cafe, which is a separate coffee shop they run down the street from the restaurant).More infoCheese and Bread - NorwalkPrice: Expensive• Georgian• Norwalk•4.5

The beef Wellington was cooked and seasoned perfectly as well. We’ll definitely be returning!More infoWashington PrimePrice: Expensive• American• South Norwalk•4.7

- TThomasVIPNew York City •7 reviews5.0Dined on May 1, 2025As someone who grew up in NYC going to Italian dinner clubs and now lives in Fairfield county, Josie and Tony’s is an awesome addition to the dining scene here. It’s one of the few places around where you can feel like you are “going out” when you go out to dinner - you want to get dressed and act like an adult here. They do a great job of setting different vibes for different nights. Wednesday and Sunday they have a piano player, Friday and Saturday they have a great playlist for you to have fun while feeling like an adult. For those complaints about the vibe or the music, I think you need to read the room - certainly the website aligns with what they are trying to accomplish. Because the vibe is not what you want, that doesn’t make it one star. Now, let’s talk about the food. They do a great job in having a comtemporary take on Italian classics. The apps are great, the table side ceasar adds to the upscale vibe and the main entrees are delicious. I personally like the spiral sausage and the veal chop. My wife loves all the fish preparations. Dessert has the same contemporary take on old school classics - take your pick. The wine list is extensive. If you want classic, it’s there. If you want to be adventurous, it’s there. The wine staff wants you to get what you are looking for, not what they are looking to sell. I’ve been there multiple times and each time it’s a combination of people I have seen before and new diners - tells me that people are coming back. It’s going to be my go to spot when I want to go out - relaxing and familiar when I want it to be, great time out when I want that. Regardless of the vibe I am looking for the food is outstanding!More infoJosie & Tony's - NorwalkPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• South Norwalk•4.5
