Greenwich Restaurants

Sonora offers imaginative, creative dishes that few other Latin places can match. At dinner, my wife & I started with goat cheese croquettes & quinoa empanadas; both were very tasty & not partcularly heavy. My entree was a special- pan seared bass in a lobster broth with clams, mussels, chorizo, & spinach- delicious! My wife ordered branzino, & enjoyed it very much. For dessert, I had the flourless chocolate cake (not as dense & heavy as this dish can be at some other places), which was complemented by a scoop of a very unusual sorbet. All in all, an excellent meal. Our waitreess, Stephanie, was friendly & helpful without being overbearing. The only less than perfect aspect of our meal was the noise level, which at times forces one to talk loudly in order to preserve a smooth conversation. The restaurant has several seating areas, which does mitigate the noise somewhat, but it's just a busy, energetic place, especially at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Sonora has been for years & continues to be one of favorite restaurants.

Thanks for a great evening on the patio. Everyone is so attentive, from the valet group to the arrivals team to the entire ensemble orbiting the table. We love L’Escale. It’s the best of Greenwich.

Food and service was great. Really loud, but great place to watch the rich and famous!

Charming and nice ambiance- food was fantastic however- we felt very rushed- our entrees arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and once we said no dessert our check arrived instantly- we still had 1/2 bottle of wine to finish-

Great lunch !!!! Yummy dishes, great for sharing. Will definitely be back.
