Absolutely wonderful place to dine. The waiter went above and beyond to make sure all was beautiful 👎🏻
Will go back again very soon
Always a thrill to sit at the counter and watch the chefs weave their magic! Although we're only in Santa Fe one evening each year, we always have dinner at Coyote Cafe. We know there are a lot of great restaurants in Santa Fe, but we just can't miss going to this fine restaurant. Great job!
A nice welcome acknowledging our special occasion; Extraordinary service presented by a savvy, smart gal; delicious entrees. A special evening.
Excellent food. Great service. Good view of the festivities at the plaza. Enjoyable experience.
Food and service were OK, but they sneak a $4 "kitchen" charge onto the bill.
I asked for the check, glanced at it and put my credit card down. When the card came back, I noticed, tucked in the back of the folder, some lame rationale for the "kitchen" charge. I suppose they will next add a charge for the hostess, and one for the cleaning people and one for the guy who delivers the meat.
I resent being deceived and I will not return.
An absolutely wonderful experience, food was fantastic and service was superior!! Nate was our server and was exceptional. Great insight on the offering and wine pairings. We have a home in Santa Fe and will be returning quite often!!!!
Fantastic service and food. Would recommend for a business dinner or special occasion!!
It’s a beautiful spot with fabulous art and wonderful food. The eggplant ravioli was delicious as was the lobster tail. Will definitely return on our next trip.
Excellent food; fine service; great decor.
My wife and I each had the elk tenderloin and split the rolled Caesar salad. Both items were excellent. As always the service was efficient without being intrusive. Coyote Cafe continues to be one of the top restaurants in Santa Fe.
We were greeted warmly at the door and quickly escorted to our table. The booth we were seated in was spacious with a nice view of the dining room and at area.
Our waiter greeted us told about any specials and gave us time to review the menu and wine list.
We never felt rushed and we just enjoyed the space before ordering. The special was a appetizer, stuffed squash blossoms. We predict that while deciding on the test of our order. It was perfectly prepared and a great way to start what turned out to be our best dinner in Santa Fe.
The wine list is extensive and well curated, some really exceptional wines. We selected a California petite sirah which stood up perfectly to the spice in the meal.
The amuse bouchée was a demitasse of beautifully spicy tomatillos and puréed beans.
We decided on the lamb rack for me and elk for my wife. Both were perfectly cooked rare with wonderful sauces, veggies and mash on mine with a deconstructed potato on my wife’s.
Everything came out in a timely manner, the service was perfect, unobtrusive but always present when we needed anything.
My date celebrating the night 37 years when I met my wife couldn’t have been more perfect.
Great food, great service, beautiful space.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Sante Fe. My favorite entree is the cowboy steak that is big enough for two. But trust if your hungry that 26 ounce steak can be yours. The food is so amazing. The presentation is pure art. The Chefs has gotten it right 100% of the time every time I visit. Don't miss this gem in Sante Fe. I will be back in August and can not wait. Don't forget to have dessert. I always leave room. Such a warm, cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Fun to get a table by the window and people watch as well. Enjoy
Kathy, That cowboy steak has been on the menu for decades and is not going anywhere!! Thank you so much for such a kind review. Every Single person that makes this restaurant work thanks you Quinn / Owner
Coyote Cafe has a lot to offer. The food is excellent. Lobster and mascarpone filled squash blossoms, a rolled Caesar salad, carnitas and pineapple tacos,... all excellent. The decor is bright and fun. The service was decent, but nothing to write home about. The clientele is older and not particularly diverse. That said, everyone seemed to know everyone else, which was cool. Next time, we will get a sitter. It’s not a kid friendly place.
The food and service were amazing. However we were seated RIGHT next to a company function (15-20 people) that was louder than cheering sports fans. Our little table is four had to yell the entire evening. There was a two top next to us that was obviously having the same issues as we were. We did get 3 desserts and two after dinner coffees on the house but really should have been added to the Company causing the issue - Won’t go back - too bad cause food was wonderful
We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised that we did not get a dessert "on the house", especially since the cost per plate is very expensive.
Coyote has become the standard to which we measure all other fine dining. From New York to Dallas to Las Vegas to Los Angeles, we are fortunate to have such an amazing restaurant here in Santa Fe. Hats off to Quinn, Eduardo, Paris and the rest of the team for doing a consistently great job on serving exceptional meals in a comfortable, yet elegant environment. Always looking forward to our next rendezvous. . .
I've been to Coyote Cafe a number of times and every time it's great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. They worked around my tricky food allergy. I highly recommend the champagne and pearls cocktail -- the liquid raspberry pearls dancing in local champagne was a delightful start to my meal.
Great ambiance-food outstanding and spectacular service. Enjoyed it all the way!!
We will be back!!
Awesome food and service!
I normally don't leave reviews but I was very impressed with this restaurant. The food was absolutely incredible, appetizer, entree and dessert were delicious, and their corn bread is addicting (and I normally don't like corn bread). Parris is very friendly and made us feel very comfortable, best server we've ever had! We are definitely going back and recommending it to other people!
Liza Thank you so much for recognizing Parris, We are all so fortunate he is part of the team. We have served our signature corn bread for over three decades! We appreciate the referrals to your friends and family. We look forward to your next visit. Quinn / Owner
Wines list prices tend to be on the high side. Domestic Pinot Noir choices are mostly limited to CA.
Quality of food is excellent but the dishes are not what you’d call “comfort food”. We were told by our waiter that they do not serve creamy dressings when we asked for Ranch dressing with the salad - strictly vinaigrette. Steak was excellent but there’s no potato dish to go with it I.e mashed potatoes or baked potato
Food was ok . Service and atmosphere great. Website led me to believe it was more lively bar type atmosphere though.
Just a great dining experience!
Ate at bar. Bartender was awesome.
The best wine list in Santa Fe. Incredibly attentive service. We are so fortunate to have the Coyote in Santa Fe!
Dan, Thank you for the shout out on our wine program. Not alot of people recognize that we have building our cellar here for over 30 years. I really appreciate the review! Quinn / Owner
We loved this place! We were there in 1999 and returned in 2019. Much nicer and we loved Ben! He had such knowledge and was so nice to talk with. Such an asset. We will return when we go back to Santa Fe. Regret not being able to meet the owner.
Hi Lori, I could not agree more about your thoughts on Ben. He is an incredible asset and the team is lucky to have him work here. Thank you for coming back after all these years. Im sorry i Missed you Tuesday Evening but hope to meet you on your next visit. Quinn / Owner
Coyote cafe wasn’t one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in NM. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Santa Fe
Anna, Thats saying alot considering how many wonderful restaurants are in the City!! Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review Quinn / Owner
The food was exquisite and the service impeccable. They even brought us an extra appetizer as they were concerned about the length of time it took to get out entree. We were already full from the large appetizers so the wait was no problem. Highly recommended.
Amazing, creative, delicious food, great service, great fun vibe. Fine dining without stuffiness.
Great food and service!
Our dinner was absolute perfection. We had the filet mignon and it was melt in your mouth delicious. Our waiter was fantastic and this was definitely a highlight of our trip!
It was an outstanding experience
Server was excellent. The food was impeccable and severd promptly. I will definitely go here again. I surely will recommend this place to anyone.
Superb! Top ten restaurants we’ve been to and we’ve been to hundreds of good ones all over the country. Special attention given, not asked for. Food and drink the best.
As good as i remember it many year ago when Mark owned. Overall the food and experience was good. Had to send the soup back as it was not hot. Second better but still not hot enough.
server was great in knowing we wanted to taste each others dinner so he offered to split the entrees. great presentation and the tastes were fantastic.
Had a drink in the roof top cantina before hand and its a lively fun place.
Celebrated a birthday and had a wonderful meal.
Never disappoints!~ A true treasure... Creative cuisine and great wait staff!
Exceptional service. The lobster was out of this world. My filet mignon came out over cooked and flavorless but was quickly replaced with a superb cut and temperature. A fair wine selection but at fair prices.
